but assures Expressen that they are the best money can buy.
Could they be past members of the Mukhabarat? They would be familiar with the land, the people and various interrogation techniques.

Gotta admire him, but if he was an American wouldn't Europe be screaming to haul him to The Hague?

Now if everyone did the same thing the "insurgency" would soon end. This is very "soviet KGB" like of him.
Maybe we need to be doing the same things... but lose the judicial review and ethics officers in our combat units.
As he said this is how it is done over there.

When asked to elaborate on the fate of the purportedly captured kidnappers, the Swede says he hasnt inquired but has his suspicions. What they deserve is to each be buried alive with a pig carcass.

I like this guy. Sometimes you just have to be other people's karma and his kidnappers have some karma coming. Money well spent!

How come nobody's asking...
How come this civilian can find and hire guys to hunt down and kill the bad guys, and the US government can't seem to make a serious dent in their numbers?
We're sending fine soldiers out to get shot by Ibn bin Rag-on-His-Head, when we should be hiring Steve McQueen act-alikes to take them out.

This is great - as long as he actually gets those who did it. A mistake would be a serious crime. Then he'd be little better than those who took him.

the plucky pensioner claims that revenge is not his primary motive. I just want the people of Baghdad to feel safe on the streets. In sales I learned that there is always the real reason and another on that sounds good.

There was a short article in the WSJ about this yesterday that also mentioned a French former hostage that said that he was puzzled about the reason that the Muslims would kidnap a Frenchman when France didn't support the war in Iraq, but he quickly came to realize that the hatred went beyond the war to all Westerners, including the French.
