Oh! The purple fingers. I cried then, too!
I hope and pray to God that if I were in the same situation, I would have the strength and courage some of these people do.
Sometimes I have my doubts.
Hey, Loser, read a history book.
Not all Iranians want Americans dead just as not all Iraqis or Afghanis didn't. Iranians want their freedom. What we're talking about is the new Iranian leadership and his terrorists. We are worried for the Iranians that have demonstrated recently and been vocal in calling for freedom.
This guy is really bad. Did you read the thread on the turnout? Some "precincts" had turnouts of over 800% of registered voters. Think we have problems here in the US?
We're not talking about wiping out every single Iranian, dude (or dudette)...
You won't be sorry; it's an astounding book that I read in one fell swoop...couldn't put it down.
I absolutely understand. But some of my (and probably your) family fought and died so you and I can sit on our butts and post here tonight.
History? No way, if it doesn't have an "Oprah Book Club" sticker on it, trolls wont read.
I didn't read that. And I don't have a memory of the Iranian hostage episode in 79. Perhaps I would have a different opinion if I were alive then. People can disagree.
Wasn't it an astounding book, McGavin?
Generally a picture tells the story, but in this case, despite all the news coverage of those beautiful children, the book did a better job.
I really hadn't any idea of what their lives were like before the Taliban. Gut wrenching.
I just saw that! Democratic precincts, no doubt!
Ok. You're not that old.
This explains much.
Sorry if I was a bit harsh before. There's been a lot of trolls lately.
(And you better not be pulling my leg)
(Okay, Race, this will be just between you and I: honest to goodness, some of our "newbies" are getting their World and United States history from comic books!)
Back to regular scheduled posting.
:-)
Beautiful. Hauntingly beautiful.
When you read the Kite Runner, you can just imagine if such a thing were to happen here. The horror. And how unbelievable it would all seem.
I never really cared about what went on outside our country or thought we could or should be the world's policemen. But that all changed after 9/11 and I realized how other people have to live. We're so damned lucky, and all the leftists do is carp.
People who live in this country don't understand that the people who live under these dreadful regimes don't realize that they have the power to take their countries from them.
They are so conditioned to be subservant, they almost have to be trained.
Heck, I don't want all Muslims dead; just "some" of them.......LOL.
Their life is a living hell over there. Drug abuse is rampant among the poor because they've completely given up. Students are put in jail and tortured to death, when they try to have protests, the Basiji attack them in their dorms and hack them to pieces. We've had some of the pictures posted right here on this site.
I'm like you. I opened it in the morning and couldn't put it down until I was finished.
Yeah. That's getting to be annoying. I'm really beginning to have hard feelings for leftists. I was mildly amused, then just irritated, but now I'm getting downright hostile towards them.
