Many of us posted what we thought were pictures of the new Iranian President, pictures that we found on theinternet that showed a similar looking man from 25 years ago.
I am one of the Marines who was off Iran for the rescue attempt and have beenin contact with several people from Iran who have told me that the man I thought it was, was NOT Ahmadinejad at all.
This seems to be a contest now, which picture is the real Iranian President?
In the link below, I believe we see the Iranian President, he is carrying the black valise in his hand, with the American Hostage looking in his direction.
Look at the nose.
Also, that hostage is Barry Rosen, he is a short fellow, and Ahmadinejad is a short fellow. I have met Barry Rosen, and I towered over him. This new president would be the same height give or take an inch.

Clearer pics of that same man in the blazer, with his head at a different angle show I was wrong.
In the photo above, the media misidentified the man, the one in the red circle, and most of us thought it was the man on the far right instead, but newer pics show that is not him.
This clearer pic of the two original men identified show NEITHER match the new president in facial features. The man in the blazer right behind Barry Rosen clearly is not the new president, and neither is the man in the khakis right in front.
So, is it the man carrying the valise?
Umm, Bush's Fault?
I dunno. 63 million people all the same ethnicity, I'm sure many look alike.
FWIW, I thought it was valise guy.

Convincing argument. Wait! In't that John Kerry in the back between the hostage and captor and scratching his head??
CBS, ABC, NBC & even the BBC should have archived film of just about anyone who was near the hostages when they were paraded before their camera's.
If he was one of these bastards... it will turn up.
Maybe he had a nose job to make himself look different. Other than that he looks the same, in most ways. Maybe he had on higher heels then. Boots of some kind.
It makes no difference whether it is or isn't him. We have to deal with him as president of Iran. He has diplomatic immunity for the duration and possibly for the rest of his life. The only thing is that if it is him we know the positions he is likely to take in any given situation. I would wait for the spooks to speak up................
We need to be careful with the claims we state. The world is going to think as a nation we are over reactive, and not truthful.
Since,there was earlier talks of a possible invasion on Iran, this only makes us look like untruths will be told to have reasons to take aggressive action. With questions being raised on misintelligence information on WMD, (would be nice to know who the agents were, on another thread it was said he was LDS, but noting confirmed to this point).
We as a people are only going to look very foolish.
We are missing seeing what is happening to us in other areas. As I was working on my papers yesterday, I ran across this site which raises a few areas we need to be concened about:

Some statement in the article might make one a bit angry, but the overall piece does bring up a good point. We are wasting our time with false claims getting angry with misinformation, and letting other issues with will effect our nation, and yes, even "you" in the future, go unnotice.
Glad to see however, some keep their heads about them and think... you must have been a very good marine and man enought to stand by your thoughts.
