Here's another: He wants secular governments to rule, but he's willing to join the Islamo-Fascists to defeat a secular American government.

Lazare tried to explain it earlier in the debate. He mentions that Osama, the Saudis, Sadam Hussein, and the United States once worked together to stop Soviet expansion.

when the soviet union "collapsed", the communists went underground.

one group, as mentioned above, is the committees of correspondence (named after the american revolution. cute, huh?). they are big in orange co, ca.

"think globally, act locally" describes their activities. as horowitz points out above, they influence city councils, who are not necessarily aware of their allegiances.

The people on the other side, are socialists, loved the Evil Empire, hated America and sympathized with our enemies. That's a good description of the American Left. They believed the Soviets were right during the Cold War and we are wrong about the War On Terror. At least Daniel Lazare is honest enough to admit these are his beliefs. Most leftists and liberals lie about who they are. They hide their real beliefs from the American people. David Horowitz could tell you they wouldn't have a prayer of being elected dogcatcher in our country if they were honest - for their philosophy and outlook on life is completely alien to the founding ideals and the spirit that animates America. They hate being described as leftists and liberals. We are are proud of being conservatives and right-wingers and we put our views out there openly for every American to see for themselves. In the marketplace of ideas, there's simply no contest between the two sides. Yes, even on Iraq!

Daniel Lazare: I don't know. I never heard Michael Moore's statement. I’m not going to take David's word on what Michael Moore said. I'm sure it's being taken out of context. The man is a liar. Anyone involved in politics, the media, or the blogosphere knew about Moore's comment.
