Buck Parker, executive director of the environmental group Earthjustice, said Friday's announcement "provides President Bush with an opportunity to select a new justice who will create a lasting legacy of strong environmental protections."

Obviously, that is not the job of the judiciary. More than any other quote in this piece, this makes absolutely clear that the left believes that the courts are there to "legislate" their agenda.

Quite correct. I believe Earthjustice used to be the Club Sierra Legal Defense Fund or some such.
