WASHINGTON, July 1 /Christian Wire Service/ -- GenLife to join with other organizations to hold rallies, prayer vigils and demonstrations at the United States Supreme which will begin three days before the confirmation hearings start and will continue for the entire confirmation process.

Generation Life, which lead major demonstrations at the Presidential Inauguration, Democratic National Convention, March for Women’s Lives and the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics will work to mobilize the post Roe v. Wade generation to make their voices heard to determine who will be the next Supreme court justice.

GenLife feels the appointment of a new justice to the Supreme Court may be the most important decision that President Bush will make in his entire second term in office.

Brandi Swindell, Director of Generation Life, comments, "This generation understands the importance of filling this new vacancy created by the resignation of Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. Decriminalized abortion which resulted in the deaths of 45,000,000 children, 1/3 of our generation, has made us open prey in the womb. We are living in a society in which our government has discriminated against us by devaluing us in the womb. The abortion forces and the courts have been fighting against our right to live and we are determined to see that come to and end. It is my hope and prayer that our generation will be the one the help overturn Roe v. Wade.

Barbara Gough, Director of Post Abortion Outreach for Generation Life, states, "I will be working diligently to represent the millions of women like myself that have suffered physically and emotionally from abortion so no other woman has to experience this type anguish. It is my hope that President Bush will nominate someone that will restore equal rights to the pre-born and promote the dignity of women”

Generation Life was founded in 1999 to mobilize the post Roe v. Wade generation at the local, state and national levels. Generation Life is a grassroots movement of activists, students, artists and musicians committed to ending abortion and spreading the message of sexual integrity.

I agree that this is a selection that is too important to mess up. I hope that this organization is going to be active long before the confirmation process begins.
