I think you nailed it on Gonzales. He would have to recuse himself on virtually every issue of paramount interest today: partial birth abortions, war on terror/detentions, tort reform, etc. All of those were issues before the president when Gonzales was WH counsel.

I can't see any way around it, unfortunately. I really like Gonzales. Regardless of his view of Roe, he seems to be a solid constitutionalist---something sorely missing on today's court.

"Hagel is an asshole"
Major asshole is more like it.
I just listened to one of his rants of the war and he listed 6 or 7 problems we are incurring and "spun" everyone one of them to the left. there is no excuse for that!

I am beginning to wonder if we really need a rat in hiding like in him in the party or not. Yeah I know we need a majority.

In defense of Andrea, if you had to wake up every morning next to Alan Greenspan, your worldview would "suck" also..

LOL. That has occurred to me, but I'm guessing Andrea has her own "quarters."

Has anyone brought up Rove yet?

It 's funny, these so-called journalists are begging for a better jail.

Andrea is no prize either.....it must be a nightly race in the Greenspan bedroom to turn off the bedroom lights..
