Per Fox News...
Oh No.
found where?
they ought to take every sex abuser, and pay mexico to imprison them someplace remote.
and leave them there.
Must have turned the perp.
How horribly tragic. I was hoping that somehow he had survived. And I hope the name of that judge is posted who released Duncan on such small bail.
That poor little boy...:( And now Shasta is alone. I haven't followed this too closely (it's a little too much for me) so I don't know, but are there any other relatives that have or will take her in?
Prayers for the family.
She's with her father. The man killed when she was kidnapped was the mother's boyfriend.
Her father has her now.
I'd say they have their man.
Yes. I read on Fox News that the judge said he didn't know about Duncan's past. Well, he should have made it his business to know.
Why waste the damn money.
Just hang the SOB's on first conviction.
Start with the identified leadership of NAMBLA. Work your way up from there.
It will become an almost unheard of crime overnight.
Wish we could reopen Devil's Island?
Judge who set bail for suspect not sure if he knew background
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. -- The judge who set bail for the Fargo, N.D., man charged with kidnapping a girl in Idaho said Sunday he barely remembers the case and isn't sure if he knew then that the man was a registered Level 3 sex offender.
Becker County District Judge Thomas Schroeder told KSTP-TV of the Twin Cities that the details of Joseph Edward Duncan III's bail hearing were just coming back to him.
"You hear so many of these, and apparently I did set the bail in this matter," Schroeder said.
Schroeder set Duncan's bail at $15,000. Duncan made bail and later skipped out.
"Usually on a bail hearing you have limited information, and so you set it in an amount that you think is appropriate," the judge said.

Becker County District Judge Thomas Schroeder, who had set bail at $15,000 despite prosecutors' request that it be $25,000, said Sunday that he barely remembers the case and isn't sure if he knew then that Joseph Edward Duncan III was a registered Level 3 sex offender.
"Usually on a bail hearing you have limited information, and so you set it in an amount that you think is appropriate," the judge said. He said if he had known Duncan's record, he would have set it high enough that Duncan would not have gone free.
Does Idaho have the death penalty?
damn damn damn
According to DICK Turbin and the msm, we already have.
Her natural father is with her now. He was divorced from Shasta's mother, I believe.
It's his business to "know" before he grants bail. Either the judge didn't care enough to ask or someone covered up "Duncan's past." The judge has an obligation to resign or explain why he didn't know. I wish we could get full details on every judge who lets vicious criminals out without proper restrictions.
So sad.
I wonder why he murdered Dylan and not Shasta.
I'm glad that she's been reunited with her father. Poor little girl. She's got a hard road ahead of her.
Confirmed as BREAKING NEWS on Fox News.com. Did a quick search of the Idaho news organizations and nothing new so far.
Her dad's still alive, and I think she has an older brother.
It is the district attorney who should know that stuff and bring it up at the bail hearing. The district attorney only asked for a $25,000 bail, which is STILL too low. It sounds like the district attorney was asleep at the wheel, with tragic consequentces. The DA needs to explain why they didn't know this guy was a level 3 offender.
I say we imprison him for 14 years and then let him go. That'll teach him.

DNA and blood matches should first be performed. Then the corneas, lungs, heart, liver, and all other usable body parts are harvested.
Before, the preedator may have been a worthless POS but afterwards many good people can benefit from the transplants.
Society will benefit from this type of recycling!
Uh, he didnt need the boy!
Maybe the DA didn't tell him...?
He is a sadistic pedophile, who went on to murder.
I haven't followed the story that closely because it's too upsetting but I was under the impression that his previous victims were male so I would assume that he'd prefer to keep the boy and get rid of the girl.
Her dad had joint custody of her. I suspect that she will be in hospital for some time though. She has a lot to deal with.
I haven't heard deatails -- could you expand on your comments on the judge releasing him?
Remains being sent to Quantico for DNA analysis for positive ID.
The BEST we can do in a case like this is to HAUNT the POS judge who let this scumbag off. Write him letters on how awful it must feel to be DIRECTLY responsible for this child's death . Write him til his dying day.
Didn't you hear? It was in all the fake but accurate news and Senate floor accounts...Gulag meets Nazi concentration camp. Wild animals extra.
I bet you a buck he's a Dem.
for those who wish to crucify the judge, I'd recommend taking a look at the prosecutor. There's lots of blame to go around, here.
Someone on another thread speculated on a pedophile ring. If he had a web site, I suspect there were people of a like mind talking to him about his demons.
Oh the ones that write for the Grocery Store Checkout rags and now work for ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBCALJEZZERANEWSWEAKTIMEMAGBBC.
It's got a luxury hotel on it now.
No, actually, they have more credibility.
Our current policy is insanity.
I disagree, it is the JUDGE's reponsibilty when it comes to these heinous lowlifes walking free. Write him at this address to express your outrage at his decision that KILLED that little child. These high and mighty judges MUST be held accountable:

Duncan had spent more a decade in prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy at gunpoint, and at the time of his arrest was a fugitive from justice for allegedly molesting a boy in Minnesota.
There were three crimes under the common law that were capital offenses.
Murder, rape, and kidnapping.
Since, in most cases, we no longer follow that mode, I guess it means that we, as a society, don't mind if there is some murdering, raping, and kidnapping going on.
Nothing on the remains yet.
Idaho has the death penalty and uses it, however, Duncan took the girl across the country, so this will be a federal kidnapping case.
