Leader of pedophile ring jailed

THE leader of a Brisbane-based pedophile ring who abused four young boys was yesterday sentenced in the Brisbane District Court to nine years' jail.
The 28-year-old former Australia Post worker pleaded guilty earlier this week to 24 charges, including sodomy, maintaining a sexual relationship with a child, permitting himself to be indecently dealt with by a child and possessing objectionable computer games.
The court heard the pedophile ring was established after chance meetings on an Internet website called BoyLoveWorld, designed for men with a sexual preference for young boys, led to friendships between up to four men.
It heard the ringleader had a four-year sexual relationship with his younger step-brother which started when the victim was 10, and helped recruit other young boys as victims for himself and the other men.
The court also heard the victims were abused on camping trips and joint outings between the men, and the abuse included fondling, oral sex, masturbation and sodomy.
Regular Sunday night debriefing sessions were held by the 28-year-old and another group member.
Judge Ian Wylie, QC, yesterday described the offences as "abhorrent" and "repugnant", a view he said would held by the majority of the community whom he had the duty to protect, and deserving of severe punishment. He sentenced the man, who cannot be named to protect his victims, to nine years' jail with a recommendation for parole after serving 3½ years.
Yesterday's proceedings follow the sentencing of co-offenders Gary John Paul, 55, of Newcastle, who pleaded guilty to 12 sex offences against one child, to four years' jail to be suspended after serving 16 months earlier this week.
Two other men, a 30-year-old Victorian also considered a ringleader and a 25-year-old, separately pleaded guilty in the Brisbane District Court to numerous sex offences earlier this year and were sentenced to eight years and seven years' jail respectively.

A google search showed that BoyLoveWorld was a valid site. There was, however, no GirlLoveWorld. At least at first glance, one might assume that the male homosexuals are either more computer literate or more aggressive than their female equivalents.
I'll leave the significance of that to those with degrees in the soft sciences.
Perhaps of interest to those same "scientists" is the fact that google listed neither GoatLoveWorld or SheepLoveWorld. Perhaps that is a result of a vastly lower level of Internet literacy in the Arab world.

These sentences are a joke. And keeping the central perp's identity a secret "to protect the victims" is so perverse and ironic that it sounds actually quite like snidery.
I wonder why the story didn't include anything about the men being homos?
One gets 9 years, the other 4 years and the children's lives are ruined.
What a sick joke that is.
This calls for some good oldfashioned Aussie vigilantism.
Chances are the vigilantes, if caught, would be given much harsher sentences than the perverts.
That was my first thought. We're living in a sick, sick world.
We seem to be witnessing an incredible moral inversion. Justice has been redefined to exclude victims of sex crimes, especially the most helpless and vulnerable, from consideration in what is fair punishment and instead focuses almost exclusively on the criminal's circumstances.
For years I have felt that if a person wants to get away with "murder" make sure the victim is a family member, mentally or physically handicapped or a child.

Child molesters need to be executed. Child porn producers need to be executed. Those who sell or distribute or promote it need very severe punishments. It really amazes me that the justice system takes this so lightly. Not that LEOs do; but the idiots who make laws must take it lightly or they'd enact tougher punishments.
To take away a child's innocent by force or stealth is tantamount to death - most children never recover from such abuse; their lives, if not ruined, are never the same. And many become abusers themselves. Many who have been abused become homosexual. This has to stop.

I am still stunned that this disgusting man is going to be eligible for parole in 3 1/2 years! Does anyone really think that he will somehow cease to be a predatory danger to boys in 3 1/2 years? By what magic do sexual predators suddenly become harmless after spending 3 1/2 years in jail?!
