In fairness, it is world wide disdain and jealousy of the USA that finds NYC rejected. Not Hillary Clinton.

I'm also glad she wasn't able to claim credit for this.

This is no better than liberals blaming everything on Bush. It's not like Clinton was the only one pushing for this:

Bush Endorses New York's Olympics Bid

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush is endorsing New York City's bid to host the 2012 Summer Olympics. The president taped a minute-long video message last week boosting the bid, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Wednesday. An International Olympic Committee group evaluating five bids for the games is visiting New York this week.

Living in New York is like living in an Olympic Village - you have every language from every corner of the globe.

When did H*****y ever live in New York City? I wonder how many languages are spoken by the residents of Chappaquiddick (not counting those spoken by the servant classes, of course)?

Clinton was pulling out all the stops to bring the sports extravaganza to her constituents back home.

The ones east of the bloody Hudson at any rate...Well, at least the rest of us won't be stuck with the tab.

From Reuters
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&e=1&u=/nm/20050706/ts_nm/olympics_final_dc
"Tireless lobbying, a superb bid and a massive charm offensive from British Prime Minister Tony Blair lifted London to a remarkable Olympic victory over Paris in the race to win the 2012 Games on Wednesday."

LOL, a charm offensive. Well, Hillary's offensive, she's just not charming!

This is all Boomberg's fault. Of course, if New York had gotten the bid, it would have been credited as Hillary's doing!

This is a double pleasure. Both the French poodles and the New York fascists lost. It doesn't get much better than that!

#1 NY aint her constituents. #2 It figures, she learned this lesson from the Roman empire. Give them games so they forget her failures in NY.

In arguments before the committee, the former first lady even invoked the specter of the 9/11 attacks:

Now, that's a stupid statement to make by anyone but more so by a politician of supposed high caliber as Hillary.

Why in the world would anyone seeking the have NYC chosen as the Olympic site remind the committee that NYC is the city where human carnage took place recently and is a city with a bullseye still painted on it. Just the location where every nation would want to send their athletes.........NOT!!!

Either she is very stupid or it was intentional and somehow will use NYC's rejection as a propoganda piece against George Bush for having created an atmosphere of fear!

She coulda learned a thing or two from Billy Payne - the master of the Atlanta Olympic bid. All the Atlanta government did was make messes for Mr. Payne and his team. NY did not have a Billy Payne to shut down The Beast.

She never thought they'd get the games. She just needed an excuse to get in the public eye in a way the state would be happy about.

If NYC had gotten the Olympics, Hillary would have been on the Today Show talking about it. Cancel that appointment.

Maybe Hillary! will blame Tana Goertz for blowing the Olympic task on the final episode of The Apprentice. It's all because she couldn't find an American Flag to give to Gov. Pataki during the Opening Ceremonies!

The only reason Her Heinous appeared in stories about how she was pitching for NY to get the Olympics is, she must have gotten word that they were coming to NY, and wanted to grab the credit, making it look like she "brought the games home."

Either she was misled, to look foolish; or she and her people got strong signals from the committee that it was going to happen (variation on the latter: someone misread what was likely a demurral; if it was a staffer, his or her career is over, of course).

At any rate: She is damaged, somewhat, by this, since the story of her championing this effort was so close in the news cycle to the games going to London. It is also true that the MSM will barely mention this.
