The Schiavo Autopsy Results: Terri Dailies July 6
Accuracy in Media-Media Monitor ^ | July 6, 2005 | Cliff Kincaid

Posted on 07/06/2005 10:50:06 AM PDT by 8mmMauser

Several bloggers have drawn attention to a strange lead in a Washington Post story about the Terri Schiavo autopsy results. The June 16 Post story by David Brown said that "Terri Schiavo died of the effects of a profound and prolonged lack of oxygen to her brain on a day in 1990, but what caused that event isn't known and may never be, the physician who performed her autopsy said…"

Terri will NOT be forgotten nor will her legacy. Jim King's legacy can go fly a kite. He's so into the culture of death. Florida is the Starvation State now.

Wait until Jeb goes back to South Florida. The Cuban community is hacked off that Jeb let Terri die. And, there's that little boy Elian - Jeb washed his hands then too.

Well, at least Jeb has clean hands because he's always washing them.

Let's get back to basics: TERRI WAS MURDERED slowly and succumbed on March 31, 2005. Hospice Woodside is still a crime scene and just because Jebbie steps in to clear HINO's name doesn't mean that there were levels of crimes committed by many agencies to make sure that Terri was murdered. Jeb had to cover for all those people and had McCabe do a sham investigation that was very narrow in scope.

Nice try, guys.

No, floriduh voter, they support Kay Bailey Hutchison in TX and those two women in ME. But they don't want K. Harris because they say she cannot win.

About the Cheryl Ford book: I thought I read that Michael R. Schiavo, another popular FL Republican, could keep anyone other than himself from writing a book about Terri. But how could that be?

They say Katherine cannot win because they are backing Democrat Bill Nelson who's buddy buddy with Mel Martinez who is a newbie up there. Nelson is showing Martinez the ropes. Martinez needs all the help he can get.

Misdiagnosis of Persistent Vegetative State

Filed under: Medicine/Health Politics Law Life Issues— Different River @ 2:40 pm

This study in the British Medical Journal in 1996 found that 43% of those diagnosed as in a “persistent vegetative state” were actually not, including some who’d had that diagnosis for several year. This other study in Neurology in 1993 found that 37% were misdiagnosed.

This is not exactly new information. And the ways the articles describe people as not being in PVS (follow the links) sound like the sort of things Terri does that her detractors call “reflexes.”

Cheryl Ford's book will be on bookshelves. Cheryl Ford has quite a CV in the medical field. Fuhrman is a P.I. They are completely different books.

Well, we agree that they are "completely different books." However, Mark Fuhrman is not a "P.I.," and Cheryl Ford's "CV in the medical field" is neither extensive enough, nor impressive enough, to sell books.

But that's not the reason that her book will not be "on bookshelves." It won't be sold in bookstores and through the big online booksellers because she doesn't have a publisher in the traditional sense. Her book is being "self-published" (vanity published; she's paying to publish it), and that takes it out of the pipeline for bookstore/bookseller placement.

Hundreds of thousands of books are vanity-published every year...it's not a "bad thing." Vanity publishing has been going on for well over a hundred years, as would-be "authors" are willing to pay to see their works in print. With the advent of the internet and e-books, it's a growing and lucrative business (at least for the vanity publishers, not the authors). Very few vanity-published books find the success that motivates a regular publisher to option them (and thus move them into bookstores). Personally, I'd be pleasantly surprised to see Cheryl and Jan's book optioned. However, the likelihood of that is very small. While it would be normal for Cheryl and Jan to pay for, and then consign, a small supply of their book to a few willing local boutiques, the chances of seeing the Ford/Craddock book "on bookshelves" (meaning in places like Borders, B&N, or even WalMart's books secion) is slim to none.

Actually, I thought the article was a little confusing. But it appears that the republican currently being courted as a challenger to democratic US senator Bill Nelson is our current state house speaker, FL representative Allen Bense.

Probably not a bad choice, but I personally think that Bense's chances of beating Bill Nelson aren't that great, at least not in 2006...but who knows? That's 16 months away, with the opportunity for a heck of a lot of water under bridge.

Jeb refused to meet with Alan Keyes, a conservative Republican but welcomed Jesse Jackson into his office. After their meeting Jackson stated "Terri's death will save many lives." I doubt that Terri's family saw that because it was covered on CNN mid-day. Tallahassee knew the Monday after Easter that they weren't going to save her. They were willing to martyr her for what purpose? To assuage Judge Greer and all the fat cats?

Terri Schiavo: America's Lost Hope

Excerpts

Terri Schiavo, a woman who collapsed at 26 and suffered severe brain damage, is dead because her husband and our justice system determined that her life wasn't worth living.

...her fate rested on a husband so profoundly devoted to her that he fathered two children with a woman he'd been seeing for years as she lay bed-ridden. Would Terri have wanted her husband to get on with his life? Perhaps, but I doubt she thought his "closure" would come at the expense of her life.

The fight to kill Terri has been a low mark for the American justice system. We've arrived at a point where we feel empowered to decide whose life is worthy and whose is not. Was it OK to kill Terri because she couldn't feed herself or because of the degree of brain damage? What if her brain had been less damaged, but she still couldn't feed herself? What if she could feed herself but was equally brain-damaged? Before his own recent death, Pope John Paul II called America a culture of death. Since Terri Schiavo's case entered the American consciousness, we have witnessed the fervor with which her husband, the American Civil Liberties Union and much of the American media advocated for her death. The Pope's words ring loudly, clearly and true.

Powerful words, powerful article.

"America has always been a beacon of light for the rest of the world, a nation that values life above all else and guarantees the pursuit of that life. Yet with each innocent one ended in the battle to kill the weak and voiceless, we move farther away from the light that shines for the rest of the world."

Developing... 970 WFLA Radio reports this morning that "investment in Florida is on the decline." end quote

Is this sooner than expected results of "the Schiavo effect"? The day that Terri died, many people stated to the media and to each other that Florida would be punished. Maybe the monetary penalty hit sooner than anyone expected.

Florida's leaders worship money. Maybe they should stop covering things up here, think about what they've done and change course. As long as Florida is tagged "The Starvation State", it's not a good business climate.

The subtle boycott of Florida which was not even organized per seems to be working.

Thanks for all your emails to Tallahassee. They'll wake up one of these days. FV

Tease by TEJ. I'm sure they are working on something else huge at this time. This was in the left sidebar.

"Did you know that a judge can bring baseless criminal charges against you, have you arrested, and bring you before him to be tried without a jury? ... but this is happening right now in the United States in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida."

FYI: TEJ has given permission to freepers to use a paragraph and a link.

Worth repeating from TEJ: http://www.theempirejournal.com/071805_misconduct_Schiavo_case.html

A 2nd DCA staffer discussed Terri at an event which violates judicial canons but what's a canon compared to judicial homicide? Once there is lawlessness, nobody knows where it will lead.

God bless Terri and her real family.

Yes, the raiding of bank accounts to a special county run trust fund that is run by operatives that aren't even related to the ward or funds are rustled off to the death lawyers.

As long as they have a Court Order from Greer, they feel they can keep robbing wards of their funds whether they are still living or dead.

Wake up Amerika! This could happen in your state.

Sounds like that lady really is in a coma, which Terri was not. The interesting twist is that "if" she dies when they pull her feeding tube, the charges against her husband would be upgraded to murder instead of some lesser crime.

That's Michael Schiavo's situation too, if ever a criminal case is built against him. Murder. No statute of limitations. Careful, Michael, somebody may blow your cover.

Careful George, Deborah, Brian, Joan, Jodi. You know too much.
