Well you're welcome, I think I better sign off for the night who knows what tomorrow may bring! Catch you tomorrow.
How long do you think before they start questions if London can handle the security needed for the Olympic games."?
G'night defconw. I was thinking the same thing. I FReep tomorrow and it is a late night for me. But I LOVE supporting our Troops!

Sure the morning shows talking heads will pose that quesiton about 6 hours from now
Just think of a world where all of these terrorists can run loose and free.
I am convinced they have bio/chem....why wouldn't they use them?
I'm not a troll, been here a long time, but I would have thought they would have killed on the magnitude of 9-11.
You are probably right - rub salt in the wounds. Sad.
This should be the headline in all major papers tomorrow. Any bets on how many times we will see or hear it?
What makes you sure they haven't? It's very early in any incubation period...
Yeah, I'm a troll W Fan. I campaigned for the guy in the Republican stronghold(ha,ha)of Washington state in 2000. Bush has done an admirable job with the WOT, but when I hear him say things today like we're going to bring these terrorists to justice and we need to change hearts and minds-it makes me want to puke. We need to exterminate these POS NOW. Flame on, dude.
hey eddie, nice hooves
I appreciate the response. So let me get this straight...if someone thinks that W isn't serious enough about killing these POS that makes that person a lib? Hey, that's purty funny!
I'll bet! And for good reason. When you know please let me know!
Gitmo's off the radarscreen now! That conversation ended to day!
I just heard from my son. He's going on to Spain, then Italy and France and back to Scotland. It's amazing because yesterday my husband was saying that he didn't want to pay for the rest of this trip and today my husband is saying that if my son comes home, it would be giving in to the terrorists. I give up.
Awwwww, LOL! Prayers for your son's safety!
The British and US media have shown remarkable restraint by not publishing pictures of the 700 injured, let alone the dead.
NO, REALLY...nice hooves
"Armed officers deployed on Perth trains (Western Australia)"
The Australian ^ | 8th July 2005 | Tim Clarke

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "SECURITY has been increased at Perth's main transport hub in response to the London bombings while police prepare for possible reprisals against the Islamic community.
About 20 Tactical Response Group officers armed with handguns were stationed at Perth's central train station after yesterday's terrorist attacks on London's transport system.
WA's Deputy Police Commissioner Tim Atherton said the response was purely a precautionary measure, and there was no information of an increased terrorism threat in Perth, or any major Australian city.
"This is simply a precaution and a measure of public reassurance," he said.
"There is no indication of any change of the alert level in Australia, it remains at medium but we are seeking to reassure the public that we do have some very good arrangements.
"The main central railway station was our major focus."
Mr Atherton said officers were not armed as they normally would be in order to avoid creating unnecessary alarm.
"But we wanted to create reassurance in the public that we were prepared," he said."

CHRISTIAN LEADERS RESPOND TO LONDON BOMBING
Four blasts rocked the London subway and tore open a packed double-decker bus during the morning rush hour Thursday, sending bloodied victims fleeing after what British Prime Minister Tony Blair called "barbaric" terrorist attacks.
While the exact number of those killed vary, it appears that somewhere between 40 and 50 people were killed and maybe as many as 700 injured.
A statement appeared today on the (currently defunct) jihadist website Al-Qal'ah (www.qal3ah.net), purportedly posted by the group claiming responsibility for the bomb attacks in London today.
A translation provided by World Net Daily read in part, "In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate, may peace be upon the cheerful one and the dauntless fighter, Prophet Muhammad, God's peace be upon him. O nation of Islam and nation of Arabism: Rejoice for it is time to take revenge from the British Zionist Crusader government in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan. The heroic mujahidin have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern and western quarters."
Christian leaders were quick to respond to the day's shocking events.
In an e-mailed statement, Peter Kerridge, CEO of Premier Christian Radio said, "Like many, I am shocked by the scenes of violence and destruction we have witnessed today in London. We at Premier Christian Radio are calling for our listeners to pray for the victims of today's terrorist attack as well as their families and the paramedics, police and hospital staff."
Speaking in a statement reported by the Associated Baptist Press (www.biblicalrecorder.org/content/news/2005/7_7_2005/ne070705bwa.shtml), David Coffee, general secretary of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, said, "The events that took place in London today fill us with horror, and our prayers go out to the bereaved and the injured, together with all those who are seeking to offer help and comfort, including the emergency services, security forces and chaplains."
He added, "In a world of violence, where there is too little respect for life, we want to stand alongside all those who are the victims of such brutality, sharing their pain and anger, and embracing them with compassion. This is a time when we are called to answer the evil of violence with an unswerving commitment to the ways that make for peace and justice. We join our Christian hope with all who seek the common good at this critical time."
The Associated Baptist Press (ABP) also reported that worldwide Baptists will continue with plans to meet July 27-31 in England, despite the deadly bombings.
British Baptists, who will play host to the Baptist World Congress in Birmingham in less than three weeks, voiced their desire, ABP reported, "to stand alongside all those who are the victims of such brutality," but confirmed plans for the meeting of Baptists worldwide will go on.
"When we gather in Birmingham as a family of world Baptists," ABP reported Coffee said, "it will give us an opportunity to pray together for our broken world and to show solidarity with all who suffer."
Then in a statement e-mailed from India, Hopegivers International President Dr. Samuel Thomas said, "Our prayers go out to the victims of the London terror attacks and their families. We understand their pain because we face terrorist attacks almost daily from religious fanatics in India. Whenever there is hope for peace and freedom from hunger and suffering there will always be evil people who want to interject despair. Who can believe that there is not dark, Satanic forces behind these kinds of attacks?"
Thomas added, "We, as Hopegivers, have a choice. Where there is death and suffering like this, we are committed to responding with hope and tangible love. Today's terror attack is just another reminder for us that we are still at war with evil and our only response can be sending more help and hope!"

The morning of July 7, 2005, explosions occurred at three Underground train stations and on a bus in Central London. The explosions appear to be the result of a terrorist attack. UK government officials have confirmed over 30 deaths and numerous injuries. There are reports of some American citizen injuries, but no American fatalities.
Access to Central London was temporarily restricted to accommodate emergency operations. UK officials expect transportation services on most Underground lines will be returning to normal during the course of July 8, with some disruptions. Information on disruptions to London transportation services can be found at www.tfl.gov.uk. Mobile phone systems suffered some disruptions in service but are returning to full operation.
Public services outside of Central London are available. Airports remain open and are handling normally scheduled flights. The National Rail Services are operating with some disruption. For train information, visit www.nationalrail.co.uk. Tourist sites are open to the public.
The U.S. Embassy temporarily suspended public access on July 7, although emergency services remain available. It will be open for all public services on July 8.

I know that they are ready to launch a big operation." Today, a group calling itself the Secret Organisation Group of al-Qaeda of Jihad Organisation in Europe claimed the attacks in London. Could that be Bakri's 'Al Qaeda Europe'?") (July 7, 2005) (Read More...)

>>You are quite reasonable in saying they are illogical, based on your standards. You can even say that their standards are wrong and you are welcome to try to convince them. But you can't say that they are illogical based on their standards and their standards are what they use to make decisions.<<
Actually, IMHO, I am a person that believes in moral standards, as well as moral absolutes.
What is wrong is wrong, no matter the "standard."
Situational ethics do not apply when it comes to the deliberate targeting and murder of the innocent.
Murdering the innocent is wrong. That is a moral certainty.
Meanwhile, a most opportune moment to have mounted this attack has slipped away -- the recent British elections. Striking Britain then, in order to influence young and callow voters to come out and oppose the Government, would have exactly paralleled the strategy in Spain, which worked.
The fact that this bunch didn't attack for over 15 months after their mufti bragged about it, missing a great opportunity in the meantime, says something about British security. I think the British security measures had an effect.
Furthermore, two of the devices failed to detonate and are now being dissected by Scotland Yard and the military, and they may well yield arrests. The failure rate was much higher than for the Madrid operation and represents another point of decline in effectiveness from a year ago.
It's worth noting that they had to wait until the focus of police efforts were centered on the G8 meeting, rather than at any other time.
They hit us when we were most vulnerable.
"Basically, there was a young gentleman, an olive-skinned gentleman, in front of me and he kept diving into a bag at his feet. He became more and more agitated and so, on reflection, that may have been the bomber I was standing next to."
Actually, I don't care if you are or aren't, because it doesn't change the fact that the President is a strong leader, and you either aren't bright enough, or informed enough to recognize it.
There are 50,000,000 people free now because of his leadership. There are moves toward democracy all over the Middle East. We have not been attacked since 9/11. The economy is strong and productivity booming. The military has grown and strengthened and respects and loves this Commander in Chief. And we ARE changing hearts and minds.
Puke away. It doesn't change the facts that the terrorists ARE being brought to justice because of the strong leadership of President Bush.
Troll or not......you're just plain wrong.
The left doesn't get it.
And apparently a number of freepers don't either..........
what did they say in arabic? bet it does not match the english. Arafart (feces be upon him) made this his common game.
You nailed it in your response here, Gunrunner.
furball is falsely applying some set of 'standards' to Islamofascists based on their ability to reason, and missing the fact that there is nothing rational in what they are doing.
It's like all those on the left trying to understand WHY they hate us, and what we have done to deserve it so we can 'fix' it.
Both are missing the fundamental problem that it is raw hatred that motivates them, and the only way to stop them is to destroy them.
Spain's post-Madrid action encouraged the terrorists.
While it is obvious that the government there has not done enough in the past, and that SA has bred terrorists, there is a significant difference between the government there and the Taliban in Afghanistan and Saddam's brutal Baathist regime in Iraq.
We're not going to militarily take out the government of every country where terrorism exists. This is a multi-faceted war, and if you think it's not being fought in Saudi Arabia, you're missing some information.
