in November 2003, Livingstone was named "Politician of the Year" by the Political Studies Association, which cited his implementation of the "bold and imaginative" congestion charge scheme. The honour came a week after Livingstone made the headlines for referring to George W. Bush as "the greatest threat to life on this planet," just ahead of the President's official visit to the UK. Livingstone also organised an alternative "Peace Reception" at City Hall "for everybody who is not George Bush," with anti-war Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic as the guest of honour.
Ken Livingstone was publically criticised in February 2005 after he compared a Jewish Evening Standard reporter to a concentration camp guard after he tried to interview him after a party. The London Assembly voted unanimously for him to issue an apology but he did not, stating "The form of words I have used are right. Strongly doubt the Olympic bid was a factor. More likely the G-8 summit, or simply the calendar date.
Mayor Livingston also caller our President one of the world's most dangerous men. Did his opinion change this AM?

They have already won.
When they were allowed to mass in the streets and shout, "Death to Blair" and "Death to the United States" with impunity they have won. And they know it.
The problem is the British subjects allowed themselves to be disarmed. They fell for the line,"The police will protect you" and also believed the Government Officials when they said, "We only want the guns". They got the guns now they are going after the knives.
Soon the subjects will only be able to cower in fear behind their doors as the mobs of well armed muslims roam the streets, foaming at the mouth shouing, "Death to the infidel" and "allah akbar"
All too soon it will be here.
Bombings so far, USA, Spain now London. And there are still people out there that say muslim extremists are "peaceful"?

The mayor is correct. It's a proven fact, Britians don't die, they just get even. They didn't vanish during the dark ages, the Bubonic plague or Hitlers massive WWII bombings. So a rag tag of dirty towel heads won't ever be successful in ridding themselves of Britians.

Yep. No one hates America more than Ken Livingstone. Think of your most revolting leftist in the US and your not even close to 'Red Ken'. Maybe a good speaker, but also a good liar.

I really broke into applause when I watched it, and then I remembered who he was. Still, he's having a SMALL taste of what President Bush had on 9/11 and it may taste like crow but perhaps he'll have a better view of reality soon.

The DUmmies have the same opinion of the speech, but for different reasons. They are elated by the fact that he referred to the attack as "mass murder" and not a terrorist attack against London.
Their ideology actually allows them to distinguish between and to feel better about mass murder than terrorism.
My take on this, and I lived in London for many years is that Livingstone is two things. He's a stalinist headcase, but he's also a Londoner. You were hearing the latter today.
Space aliens kidnapped Red Ken and replaced him with this more sensible version. To the aliens, thanks mates.
