And, as President Bush just said: "We will not yield to terrorism."

Although if any non-law-abiding Londoners want to lynch a few mullahs, I could probably spare a prayer, too.

Dear Land of Hope, thy hope is crowned.
God make thee mightier yet!
On Sov'ran brows, beloved, renowned,
Once more thy crown is set.
Thine equal laws, by Freedom gained,
Have ruled thee well and long;
By Freedom gained, by Truth maintained,
Thine Empire shall be strong.
Land of Hope and Glory, Mother of the Free,
How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee?
Wider still and wider shall thy bounds be set;
God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet.
Thy fame is ancient as the days,
As Ocean large and wide:
A pride that dares, and heeds not praise,
A stern and silent pride:
Not that false joy that dreams content
With what our sires have won;
The blood a hero sire hath spent
Still nerves a hero son.

The USA has already yielded to terrorism. Any country allowing Muslim people inside it, who believe the Quran has been forewarned and are asking for this kind of terrorism.
Terrorsism or Jihad is in the book, so prepare for it.

I booked a flight to London for next May only yesterday, and I will certainly go over despite the Islamofascists' best efforts. Deepest sympathy and prayers to our cousins across the sea.

What words can comfort a senseless act? I am horrified, bitter and angry that these people even walk the earth among us.
Innocent people simply living life and minding their own business butchered by a now shredded terrorist who will rot in hell.
Terrorists are subhumans who don't deserve common human rights and I really don't care about what the Geneva convention says at this point.
Wild rabid animals need to be treated like wild rabid animals regardless of species claim.

I just heard from a friend in London. He said there were lots of sirens, but everyone in the law firm he's with is OK.
I pray the British show more resolve than the Spanish did. Time to stop this before it goes any further.

Even these words seem immortal and apt for this occassion...
From his address to a General Audience - September 12, 2001
Pope John Paul II
Brothers and Sisters, in great dismay, before the horror of destructive violence, but strong in the faith that has always guided our fathers, we turn to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, salvation of his people, and with the confidence of children, pray that He will come to our aid in these days of mourning and innocent suffering.
1. For the Churches of the East and the West, and in particular for the Church in the United States of America so that (just change this to the United Kingdon), though humbled by loss and mourning, yet inspired by the Mother of the Lord, strong woman beside the cross of her Son, they may foster the will for reconciliation, peace, and the building of the civilization of love.
2. For all those who bear the name of Christian, so that, in the midst of many persons who are tempted to hatred and doubt, they will be witnesses to the presence of God in history and the victory of Christ over death.
3. For the leaders of nations, so that they will not allow themselves to be guided by hatred and the spirit of retaliation, but may do everything possible to prevent new hatred and death, by bringing forth works of peace.
4. For those who are weeping in sorrow over the loss of relatives and friends, that in this hour of suffering they will not be overcome by sadness, despair and vengeance, but continue to have faith in the victory of good over evil, of life over death.
5. For those suffering and wounded by the terrorist acts, that they may return to stability and health and, appreciating the gift of life, may generously foster the will to contribute to the well being of every human being.
6. For our brothers and sisters who met death in the folly of violence, that they find sure joy and life everlasting in the peace of the Lord, that their death may not be in vain but become a leaven bringing forth a season of brotherhood and collaboration among peoples.
O Almighty and merciful God, you cannot be understood by one who sows discord, you cannot be accepted by one who loves violence: look upon our painful human condition tried by cruel acts of terror and death, comfort your children and open our hearts to hope, so that our time may again know days of serenity and peace.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Condolences, our British friends. We sorrow for your suffering.
Unfortunately, we share the same political myopia. Not to misapply the scriptures, but this pricinple from Proverbs applies: "Can an man take fire into his bosom and not be burned?" Both of our countries tolerate Arab Muslims our midst. Islam + Arab tribalism can = fanaticism. And the vast majority of terrorists are Arab muslims. Certainly, only a fraction of Arab muslims are homocidal fanatics.
The key question is this:
Should a free society exclude an entire racial/religious group in order to greatly diminish the chnaces of mass murder within that society?
Ubetcha.
Sometimes you have to remove an entire organ containing a few cancer cells in order to protect the entire body.
