With these goons as lawyers, Saddam has no control even over his own defense. It's a bunch of American lawyers defending their own personal position and taking America to court.

I dunno about the defense but I wouldn't mind seeing George Felos on the prosecution team. Maybe he can negotiate a peaceful, euphoric conclusion to the trial.

Saddam's legal team includes 1,500 volunteers and at least 22 lead lawyers who come from several countries, including the United States, France, Jordan, Iraq and Libya. No date has been set for the trial of Saddam, captured by U.S. troops in December 2003.

Good gracious. With this many clowns, this could be the greatest legal circus of all time.

This is beyond absurd. Saddam Hussein is without question guilty, and he should simply be sentenced and executed without this ridiculous circus.

Ole Saddam has quite a sense of humor --naming his daughter Raghead.

ROFL!

Not a bad looking gal, though after what happened to his last set of sons-in-law, I doubt she's gonna have a lot of suitors:

A lot of the Iraqi women are exceptionally beautiful.

But the ex-pat guys here pretty much know that the "look but don't touch" rule applies. ;-)

What else are you going to do when all your client wants to talk about is how much he enjoys Cherrios.

Yes, I rather fancied the Egyptian gals but that was back when I was young, in the late paleolithic. The ones I knew were all university students familiar with the West. A different time.

BTW, I note your cat has the same Clinton cat toy our gang has. Back when Bubba was in office we made a point of leaving it out when Dem friends came to visit, so the cats could drag it around in front of them.
