Coast to Coast Announcement: Al Qaeda Smuggling Nukes into U.S. ?

Tonight on Coast to Coast, author Paul L. Williams will be discussing the possibility that al Qaeda may have smuggled suitcase nukes into the U.S. The interview will be broadcast between 10:00 pm and 12:00 midnight.

Coast2Coast Web Site

This investigative broadcast was inspired by the World Net Daily report of two days ago. That report claimed that Al Qaeda used our open borders and violent drug gangs to smuggle suitcase nukes into the U.S.

Report: Al Qaeda Nukes Already in U.S.

In his acclaimed exposé, Osama’s Revenge: The Next 9/11, terrorism expert Paul L. Williams revealed the likelihood of nuclear terrorism on American soil. Now in this chilling sequel Williams further explores the shocking dimensions of the international terrorist threat to Americans. Williams reveals persuasive evidence that al Qaeda has now established connections with the Sicilian Mafia, which is helping to finance terrorism through the sale of Number Four heroin, the present drug of choice in Europe and the United States.

In addition, through its ties to the Chechen Mafia, the group responsible for the heinous attack on a Russian school, al Qaeda has managed to obtain nuclear weapons from poorly secured and carelessly guarded storehouses in Russia.

Perhaps the most disturbing evidence uncovered by Williams is the relation of al Qaeda to an obscure Salvadoran street gang, which calls itself Mara Salvatrucha and has expanded exponentially. In exchange for big money, this violent group of anarchic thugs has smuggled weapons of mass destruction and sleeper agents across the Mexican border onto American soil, or what they refer to as the land of the "Great Satan."

No other book deals with the connection between international, extremist Islamic terrorism and organized crime—a connection that has made possible the establishment of a well-financed branch of al Qaeda in Latin America and the creation of terrorist cells in major metropolitan areas throughout the United States.

Williams convincingly demonstrates that by means of this network Bin Laden is now in a position to execute his dream of an American Hiroshima, an apocalyptic act of mass murder within the borders of the United States. Though vigorously working to prevent such an attack, many military experts and security officials concede the probability of nuclear terrorism in America, perhaps in the immediate future.

Heard the show. George is sometimes so gullible, or acts that way. The only show they ever did that got me going was the first one on Peak Oil.

Coast to Coast talks about faces carved into mountains on Mars, alien visitation, and had a guy on in 2001 who predicted Bush would no longer be President in the year 2002. How can you question such an unimpeachable source???? ;)

Yeah, when you see an Arab with a nuclear warhead strapped to his chest
walking down the street, remember to call Barney Fife at the Mayberry
Police Department. The Soviets had backpack/suitcase nukes prepositioned
in the USA since the mid-1970s - the only way you can defend against the
threat of a suitcase nuke is to avoid being where it is likely to go off.
Stay out of Manhattan and DC and you've very little risk. Eventually one
will be detonated in NYC or DC and you'll find out that, while killing
thousands of people, the damage will be far less than you expect. In fact
the collapse of the WTC towers released well more than 12 kilotons of
energy, so you'll likely see less of a blast radius than that of the WTC
tower collapse. There will be radioactive fallout, and Manhattan (and
probably Queens and Brooklyn) will need to be evacuated for a few weeks or
even a month. Sure it's bad, but it is nothing like the threat of
widespread nuclear war that we faced from the Soviets in the 1970s and
1980s. Avoid NYC and DC and you'll be safe.

if you took the time to read "The Effects of Nuclear Weapons" -
published by the AEC back in the 1950s, you'd know that the reason
Hiroshima and Nagasaki had so much damage is because those cities were
composed mostly of WOOD BUILDINGS. Most of the concrete structures even
those close to ground zero survived. In addition, Hiroshima and Nagasaki
were chosen for their locations in the bowl between hills to focus the
blast effect of an airburst (which you can't even do with a suitcase nuke
unless you can throw it up in the air to 1,500 feet above ground level.

A
suitcase nuke in NYC will cause LESS damage than the WTC collapse. NYC is
not made of single story wood (burnable) buildings - it is made of
strongly built concrete and steel - and a ground burst will have the blast
focused UPWARD (not downward like an airburst at Nagasaki or Hiroshima),
and the surrounding concrete/steel buildings will act as tampers and
focus even more of that blast upward.

Suitcase nukes. That is one of worst scams perpetrated on the American public since the global warming hoax and one-hour Martinizing.

It's posted here twice?  I Didn't see it so maybe the author of the thread, ex-Texan, didn't either.

What is "coast to coast" and why shouldn't he pay attention to them?

Yeah, what ever happened to all these backpack nukes that were missing ... I agree with you, I never found this rumor to have much validity.

As I understand it a "suitcase nuke" would be about the size of a small refrigerator. Then there's the problem of maintaining a nuke. Ive read that a nuke requires some pretty intensive maintenance that requires someone pretty highly trained to do it.
