If only George Bush would lift the ban on stem cell research I'm sure Brad would be cured.

Sorry about your brother. From what I've learned, I was pretty lucky.

Thanks.
I have a neighbor who was in New Zealand on business when he came down with it. He was discovered wandering the airport with no luggage or ID and was in the hospital there for a month. Took him over a year before he could go back to work.

From the replies you received from others they sound very fortunate, but from personal experience, my wife contracted viral meningeal-encephalitis in 1994 and spent 14 days in ICU coding out a couple of times and by all reason except by the grace of merciful God Almighty, should have died from it. Not only did it infect the lining around her brain, but it systematically tried to shut down her various vital organs.
From what the doctors told me, the viral form is more dangerous than the bacterial form because they can treat the bacterial form with antibiotics, but they know little of nothing on how to combat viruses. In her case they pumped her full of the 6 hottest antibiotics available and prayed that one of them worked. It did. Praise God. I wouldn't wish this disease on anyone.

It took 5 paramedics to get me out of my house and they had to tie me to the gurney.

Well, it is scary thing and he's lucky to be getting prompt treatment, and I wish for him a full recovery. Prayer ping.
To: Huntress
Oh goodness!
He should capitalize on this horrible experience and write a book. At least pay someone else to write it.
