Please show me in the FCC regulations were exceptions for the regulations that govern prizes and on line contest are granted to radio stations on or about the 1st of April.

"Then I turned around and there was my brother, smirking, each hand holding half of the piece of scrap wood that he broke at a very precise moment."

rofl.. that made me think of the Johnny Carson show where he was interviewing an elderly lady and her potatoe chip collection...she said they all looked like someone. Anyway, when her head was turned, Johnny took a chip from a bag, not from her collection, and crunched it. She freaked thinking he was eating up her collection!

The station openly committed fraud. They'll lose big time in court.

April Fools is tradition in this country and I hate to see that practical jokes on that day become illegal because of some hypersensitive dumbasses can't take a joke.

Boo-hoo, you hurt my feelings. Give me a break and grow up. You sound like all the other idiots out there who are "offended" at everything.

I don't think the laws against false advertising make an exception for April Fool's Day.

I haven't read the replies yet (I probably should first) but, here is San Diego a few years ago a radio station promised a Toyota to the person who could stay on a certain roller coaster here in SD. After nearly a week on the coaster, the woman sued when she was handed a - toy Yoda - doll!

I don't remember the out come. Anybody remember the outcome?

There are a lot of people who think its ok to conduct business with deception and that they should be congratulated for their cleverness.

And then when she gets hit with the tax bill, she'll wish it were just a toy...
