The CIA's own analysts decided that Wilson's report suggested that Saddam was trying to buy yellowcake from Niger. The Senate Committee investigating this reported those findings. It's amazing that liberals just keep spouting falsehoods...I wish Fitzgerald would let Rove speak about this (he's asked Rove not to comment).

Danny baby is a tye-dyed-in-the-wool liberal s**t! He usually only tells one side of a story,(and is usually wrong)and is always liberal. What is that putz doing on NPR and getting our tax dollars for his slipshod, opinionated b.s.? He should have retired long ago when he at least had a shred of respectability left, but like most of the Bill Moyer set, they don't know when to say "enough!"

The weapons of mass destruction theme was not yielding very much...

Not yielding very much? What were we doing for the previous 12 years, with the first war, the UN inspections, etc.? Schorr writes as if the Iraq-WMD thing was made up once Bush got into office. Idiot.

I tuned into NPR for a few minutes and heard this. I had thought it was an editorial by a Democrat, and expected to hear back announcing to identify the Dem...but it turns out it was NPR's own reporting. Not amazed, but how does a producer get away with letting this on the air amidst all of the bias charges? Do they seriously think this is not biased?

Bias side note: NBC had a 5 minute report tonight on video game violence/sex...what a set up to finish with Hilary taking on this important topic. And of course, there she was. We have to sit through years of the lamestream's blatant attempts to make her legit.

These demorats keep running around screaming, making all kinds of accusations with really hateful ,over the top comments while Rove,Bush ,Cheney and Co just tread water knowing what will come out soon. They even seem to bait them into truly Psychotic rants. We have so many wonderful soundbites for the next two campaigns like that Looney Congressman from NJ.

Good points. Here's some more for anyone who laughably tries to claim Wilson is anything but a creepy liar (edited because I'm not sure if the WaPo is allowed to be posted, so the links below bring you to the full articles):

Remember the second article is from the WaPo--are Wilson apologists going to argue that's a Bush-friendly paper now?

...The Senate Intelligence Committee on Iraq Intelligence released their report and exposed Wilson for the partisan fraud that he is. The Democrats on this bipartisan committee refused to put this information in the report itself so the committee chairman put it in his “Additional Views” section. This can be found starting on page 442 of the report. Here’s the money quote from the intelligence committee report:

Conclusion: The plan to send the former ambassador to Niger was suggested by the former ambassador’s wife, a CIA employee.

...Conclusion: Rather than speaking publicly about his actual experiences during his inquiry of the Niger issue, the former ambassador seems to have included information he learned from press accounts and from his beliefs about how the Intelligence Community would have or should have handled the information he provided.

At the time the former ambassador traveled to Niger, the Intelligence Community did not have in its possession any documents on the alleged Niger-Iraq uranium deal. The former ambassadors comments to reporters that the Niger-Iraq uranium documents "may have been forged because ‘the dates were wrong and the names were wrong,’” could not have been based on the former ambassadors actual experiences because the Intelligence Community did not have the documents at the time of the ambassadors trip. In addition, nothing in the report from the former ambassadors trip said anything about documents having been forged or the names or dates in the report having been incorrect…

Plame's Input Is Cited on Niger Mission Report Disputes Wilson's Claims on Trip, Wife's Role

....Wilson's assertions -- both about what he found in Niger and what the Bush administration did with the information -- were undermined yesterday in a bipartisan Senate intelligence committee report.

The panel found that Wilson's report, rather than debunking intelligence about purported uranium sales to Iraq, as he has said, bolstered the case for most intelligence analysts. And contrary to Wilson's assertions and even the government's previous statements, the CIA did not tell the White House it had qualms about the reliability of the Africa intelligence that made its way into 16 fateful words in President Bush's January 2003 State of the Union address.

Yesterday's report said that whether Iraq sought to buy lightly enriched "yellowcake" uranium from Niger is one of the few bits of prewar intelligence that remains an open question. Much of the rest of the intelligence suggesting a buildup of weapons of mass destruction was unfounded, the report said.

The report turns a harsh spotlight on what Wilson has said about his role in gathering prewar intelligence, most pointedly by asserting that his wife, CIA employee Valerie Plame, recommended him.

Plame's role could be significant in an ongoing investigation into whether a crime was committed when her name and employment were disclosed to reporters last summer.

...The report may bolster the rationale that administration officials provided the information not to intentionally expose an undercover CIA employee, but to call into question Wilson's bona fides as an investigator into trafficking of weapons of mass destruction. To charge anyone with a crime, prosecutors need evidence that exposure of a covert officer was intentional.

...Wilson has asserted that his wife was not involved in the decision to send him to Niger.

"Valerie had nothing to do with the matter," Wilson wrote in a memoir published this year. "She definitely had not proposed that I make the trip."

Wilson stood by his assertion in an interview yesterday, saying Plame was not the person who made the decision to send him. Of her memo, he said: "I don't see it as a recommendation to send me."

The report also said Wilson provided misleading information to The Washington Post last June. He said then that he concluded the Niger intelligence was based on documents that had clearly been forged because "the dates were wrong and the names were wrong."

"Committee staff asked how the former ambassador could have come to the conclusion that the 'dates were wrong and the names were wrong' when he had never seen the CIA reports and had no knowledge of what names and dates were in the reports," the Senate panel said. ....The documents -- purported sales agreements between Niger and Iraq -- were not in U.S. hands until eight months after Wilson made his trip to Niger.

....According to the former Niger mining minister, Wilson told his CIA contacts, Iraq tried to buy 400 tons of uranium in 1998.

It is a prostate problem and a "manhood" problem, you see Hellery took all the demorat's prostates from them and put most of them in a "lockbox". Hellery had a few useful prostates out there, but had to be 15 or 20 combined to make one normal one for her use when hers is over-used. Most of the Demorat Politician prostates were on empty so they are headed for the graveyard in Harry Reid's back yard.

Daniel Schorr is a media wh*re, just trying to maintain an illusion of competence. I have his book (got it free as a review copy). He sprains his arm patting himself on the back.

His bias is consistent throughout his career, and so is his inflated sense of his own ability.

Golly, in all the talk about the WMD problem, I hope nobody brings up the close relationship between Clinton, Saddam, Osama bin Laden and the Saudis during the year 1993 through 1998. I think we can all overlook Vince's murder when he threatened to talk, and focus on the important issue, our inability to find where Saddam hid his WMD. Daniel has not yet talked to the Syrians, so they are still "not found." But, that is why it is so very important to continue the drone that there is "no connection." We simply do not want anyone finding out about Willie's involvement. Why does Daniel think Berger was destroying documents?
