Keynote Speaker : Charley Richardson - EMR's, Telemedicine and Robots: Management's Plan for Using Technology to Restructure Health Care In this session, we will discuss the technological changes that are being implemented, examine the social and economici players who are pushing new technologies in health care and suggest strategies for developing an increased union voice in the technological restructuring that is occurring.

Combating Occupational Stress: Campaigns to Take on the Causes of Work Overload - Nancy Lessin The stress nurses experience from understaffing, mandatory overtime and work overload is taking a toll on their lives at work, and outside of work. This interactive session will look at how stress from work overload is negatively impacting nurses' lives on and off the job, and identify and discuss strategies to build campaigns aimed at reducing the sources of stress on the job.

Lunch Presentation: Charley Richardson & Nancy Lessin - Military Families Speak Out is an organization of people who are opposed to war in Iraq and who have relatives or loved ones in the military

I haven't found a labor union that isn't in this boat. There is a small uproar from a few major unions. Talk of leaving the AFL CIO. For the most part they are all on the same sheet of music.

I'm not sure what's worse the unions or the apathy of the conservative rank and file.
