There used to be cable gondola rides at Disney, the ski-lift type things that were suspended below cables. They ran right through tunnels in the "Matterhorn" mountain. I remember they were a peaceful way for my brothers and I to cool our heels between other rides.

But, unfortunately, with the continued slide of American societal norms and behaviors down the toilet, Disney had to remove that ride, as there was just too much stuff being thrown/spit down onto others below.

Anyone know when they were removed?

The Skyway was removed in 1994. It used to run from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland.
