WASHINGTON: A Republican congressman said in a radio interview aired by a Florida station that if a multiple-city attack happened in the United States in the next 90 days, as predicted by an Israeli expert, and was found to be the work of extremist Muslims, then we should take out their holy sites. Congressman Thomas G Tancredo, Republican from Colorado, was being interviewed by AM 540 WFLA radio host Pat Campbell, who asked him what the response of the United States should be were terrorist attacks on US cities to take place and were attributable to extremist Muslims. The Congressman replied, ... then we could take out their holy sites. Asked if that meant Mecca, Tancredo answered, Yes. khalid hasan

He said that out loud?!?!
This sentiment works for me.
Thank God someone has had the GUTS to say it! Now let it be reported far and wide.
This is the real thing- we give it all we have or we lose to this new Muslim attack on the world.
God Bless Tancredo!

He better watch his back...the adherants of the religion of peace aren't going to like that.
giving the paki's something to think about at the same time would be a good idea too.
I second it, with one correction: it should be taken out during annual pilgrimage, when it is full, and not during an off-season.
When this quote is verified, I will put Trancredo in the nutter category. Just lashing out is sort of an adolescent testosterone thingie. One would wish we would elect ADULTS who can contain that, and just think, damn it, in a rationale way. If I want adolescents to dictate policy, I will take a time machine back to the middle ages, when those much older than that, had already assumed room temperate. Thus the irrational, emotional, tapestry of the age, and why it so well, just so foreign to us.
Yes he did say it a few days ago. He backtracked the next day.
I would have said "No, no, I said Maaco, not Mecca. They did a crappy job painting my car."
WOW!!!
What a major idiot. All the work we've done to make the GOP sound like the mature party while the Dems are the loonys and we have this Tancredo guy ruining it. Someone tell him to shut the hell up.
One thing's for sure: Tancredo had better not apologize or "retract" his statement due to pressure from the MSM/Cair.
"When ya gonna shoot, shoot! Don't talk"
from The Good, Bad and Ugly
It seemed so nutty, and I don't thing Tancredo is that nutty, that I added all the qualifiers. I want to watch and wait on this one. There is no need to rush.
Don't these "people" go to their mosque five times per day at specific times (Noon, etc)? And it is only the males that go. Geesh. You could target all mosques at noon and get all the fighters at one time. Fire Mission! Over!
He won't shut up. He does crap like this all the time. The guy is out to get as much attention as possible. He feeds off of it. He thinks his is going to be the next President of the United States. Tancredo actually believes his small crowd of worshipers that he is the only one who can save the United States. Of course his puppet master Pat Buchanan thought the same thing and look where he is today.
what would you suggest? If 5 to 10 nukes go off in our country what would you recommend, smily faces and sign kumbya ?
Hey, in case you hadn't noticed there are a few looneys around here who daily say the same thing.
Before I clicked on the article, just by reading the headling, I knew the "congressman" would be Tancredo.
And soon his worshipers will swarm this thread and accuse everyone who doesn't bow down to at the Tancredo alter to be traitors to the United States.
Oh, wow! Way to go!
I like it.
Would a mature Republican suggest we would do nothing in response to the murder of millions of Americans?
Blasting that black rock in Mecca, just because we can, because we are mad as hell, and can't take it anymore, is well, so Hollyweird. Enjoy the fantasy. It is not what the lone superpower is about. If the lone superpower goes Hollyweird, than the planet has a lot more to worry about than global warming.
What an intelligent way to counter extremism. All those extremists will surely bow down to us then! Or...they will take out Christian holy sites.
go somewhere and lick your left hand.....I suggest the kaaba on Tancredo day!
Al Queda would LOVE the USA to attack the moslem holy sites. Al Queda wants to demonstrate that the USA is the enemy of Islam, AND that the current governments in the Middle East are inadequately defending the true faith. And Why would we play into the terrorists' hands by declaring the religious sites are "theirs" (meaning Al Queda's)?
But as we sew, we reap. So many here keep repeating this silliness, and Michael Savage on his show, too.
You might as well, the islamofascists are operating from that time frame.
A few adolescent ideas couldn't hurt, as the "adult" ideas don't seem to be having the desired effect. The scriptural prophecy "...a little child shall lead them..." may be more providential than we realize.
Example: Iran says it has 40,000 suicide bombers trained and ready. Simple answer: Every other Nation in world is completely within it's rights to say: "Understand you are preparing to attack us, we demand total surrender within 48 hours or we will destroy you." Ta Ta
This sounds like MSM Bovine Scarptology to me too!! Tancredo may throw his hat in the ring for Pres and they want to wipe him out before he even gets started!
"I second it, with one correction: it should be taken out during annual pilgrimage, when it is full, and not during an off-season."
Yeah, get those little kids and pregnant women! Lets show them how barbaric they are and set an example of why western values and Christianity is a better way.
What the hades are you people actually thinking?
The guy almost seems to be hoping it actually happens. No surprise that Tancredo would latch onto a Farah story.
I think he has already backed off, but I agree with the sentiment but think it is a bit misplaced. I think in 1980 after the US Embassy hostages were out, Reagan should have given due warning that the US would bomb some Holy site in Iran like Qom. The people could have gotten out or they could have gone in to be killed if they like.
What would have been established then is that an attack on sovereign US soil like an embassy is, will be met with retaliation. Attacking a religious shrine would have been appropriate because the attack on US soil was done in the name of that religion.
So a clear message might well have put a stop to some of the foolishness of the last 25 or so years.
As for attacking Mecca, the Saudis have not attacked the US although many of the 911 attackers were Saudi. It has not been official Saudi government policy to attack sovereign US soil and in fact the opposite has been true, they have help the US against its attackers some. So I would not think attacking a religious shrine in a country that has helped us some would be a wise idea.
No it isn't. Tancredo said it and had to tuck tail and run after being called out for basically supporting mass murder.
And if you think a loon like Tancredo has a chance of being President, you need to wake up and realize that people like him do not win national elections.
Where have you been? They've done that already, with more on tap I'm sure.

"What a major idiot. All the work we've done to make the GOP sound like the mature party while the Dems are the loonys and we have this Tancredo guy ruining it. Someone tell him to shut the hell up."
Second.
Have I found the lone sane person in this thread? Do we detest terrorism or do we want to become them? This thread shows the same murderous sentiments Islamic extremists show.
I contend that if given a chance, our own people could become Wahabbis too, albeit from their chairs.
Idiots.
actually aiding them in some ways
some of them are assigned to perform "Cultural Jihad".....which is a tactic designed to exploit PC and optimistic decency and naivete' in Americans/westerners to the pig jihaddi's benefit
