Al-Qaida's U.S. nuclear targets

Al-Qaida's prime targets for launching nuclear terrorist attacks are the nine U.S. cities with the highest Jewish populations, according to captured leaders and documents.

As first revealed last week in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, the premium, online intelligence newsletter published by the founder of WND, Osama bin Laden is planning what he calls an "American Hiroshima," the ultimate terrorist attack on U.S. cities, using nuclear weapons already smuggled into the country across the Mexican border along with thousands of sleeper agents.

The series of attacks is designed to kill 4 million, destroy the economy and fundamentally alter the course of history.

At least two fully assembled and operational nuclear weapons are believed to be hidden in the United States already, according to G2 Bulletin intelligence sources and an upcoming book, "The al-Qaida Connection: International Terrorism, Organized Crime and the Coming Apocalypse," by former FBI consultant Paul L. Williams.

The cities chosen as optimal targets are New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Boston and Washington, D.C. New York and Washington top the preferred target list for al-Qaida leadership.

"...using nuclear weapons already smuggled into the country across the Mexican border..."

Doesn't sound feasible.

They are all solidly Democrat cities in predominently Democrat states except for Las Vegas, Nevada.

So what is the MSM saying about all this? Nothing. Just what Rove said to who and when. Fiddling while Rome burns.

Al Qaida could just set off a very small nuke in Memphis, Tennessee, and the predominant population there would riot and destroy everything within a hundred miles. The same goes for LA, Detroit and Washington D.C.

I was in the guard during the firemans'strike the summer of 1978 and saw what the population there in Memphis can do when they see an opportunity.

Lets see, that's nine targets for two bombs. And a single bomb in any one of those targers will lead to much of the Middle East becoming a nice glass parking lot, with long-lasting glow-in-the-dark decor.

Some folks just won't learn. Its not Clinton in the White House any more!

How big are these weapons? They're not H-bombs.

We could survive, I just wonder how many miles out one needs to be..

Scuse my skepticism, but is anyone other than Farah saying this?

Doesn't sound feasible.

Its not - This is a pure BS story (the guy has a new book coming out...or is already out).

al Qeade does not have any nuclear weapons, nor the means for maintaining them. Old Soviet Nukes (of the small "suitcase" kind) would be useless by now. They have a rather short shelf life if not continually maintained.

Jeez, not this sh*t again. How many times does Farah's dribble have to be posted here?

Farah has been hoping and praying for a nuclear attack on the United States for a long time. First it was Iran and their magical EMP weapon and now Al Qaeda and their dozens of nuclear warheads. Farah is off his rocker and doesn't have a clue about what he is spewing.

This is just WND using sensationalism to get the borders closed. In a previous article on the same topic, they used the "al Qaeda smuggled nukes into the US via Mexico" line to argue for closing the border. Well, if the nukes were already smuggled, what good will closing the border do, WND? Could you be any more transparent?

We need to get our border under control, but this isn't the way to do it.

The anarchist-socialists count on just such chaos. Their own "peace protests" have been known to end in violence and destruction.

This is pure speculation. Unfortunately, it's possible, because there are rogue nations who might be willing to sell atomic weapons and the Arabs have billions in cash. Although Bush scared Libya into dropping its atomic program (for which the leftist media have given Bush zero credit, barely mentioning this huge story), there are weapons to be had from China, Pakistan, and North Korea. And Pakistani nuclear scientists are still out there somewhere.

The Russian suitcase weapons have been a perennial rumor, but nothing seems to have come of it. If they have had them for years, as the story goes, I should think they would have used them before now.

It would be nice if the FBI and the CIA could get their acts together and start putting a few more agents in place. Their human intelligence vis-a-vis the Muslims is not very good.

Initially not really all that far away. It is where the wind is blowing that is the question.

I think that the fallout is what would get the claim the most victims.
