I know exactly what you're talking about leaving the vet's with just a collar. We had Sassy cremated but my ex got the ashes in the divorce. He said that we could split them but I couldn't do that. I've never heard of the Coon Dog Grave Yard. I know I'd definitely lose it if I went there.
Of course, I love almost all dogs.....but I'm really partial to Chessies being a waterfowler and all. Soda's truly my best friend....always faithful and gives me unconditional love.
Thanks for letting us know a little about your precious dog Sparky. His life just added something special to mine. I'll go give each of my kitties a special hug right now.
The Vets see the joy when we bring in a new puppy and they see the devastation when the end comes and they see it over and over. It must be hard for them at times.
I feel so bad for you because the hurt lasts so long. Just remember it is your pain you have to bear, Sparky is at peace.
Yes, I miss my Vet. When I left my ex and moved south I felt nothing about leaving him but I really missed my vet and my hairdresser.....LOL
