Without stripping them off to examine the problem, all we get is a lot of wishful thinking.
Historian Niall Ferguson, writing in the Telegraph on the intensifying "Muslim colonization" of Europe, has decided that such "demographic shifts" are not "invariably a bad thing." After all, seven centuries of jihad-imposed dhimmitude for infidels in Muslim Spain gave us the Alhambra, or something. It's that pesky "ideology" of conquest that follows all the shifting that's the problem — something he thinks European Muslims ought to take "a much closer look at." Really stern stuff.
Over at the Boston Globe, a lefty editorial mantra turns culture clash into harmonic convergence: "European Muslims and non-Muslims must learn to live together. Each will have to practice the tolerance that [Theo van Gogh] assassin Bouyeri proudly scorned." They must, must they? As sharia law becomes a democratic option, who will enforce such tolerance?
As conservatives, JWR columnist Charles Krauthammer and blogger-cum-radio host Hugh Hewitt still fight the good fight, but, in these multicultural days, that means sorting through "extremism" and finding nothing too terribly Islamic about it. Mr. Hewitt writes that my arguments of last week were wrong, citing "functioning democracies in Turkey and other predominantly Islamic countries" as evidence of Islamo-Western compatibility. He throws in the loyal host ("millions of loyal British and American citizens") for good measure.

It is impossible to renounce jihad against infidels without renouncing the teachings of Muhammad. Without Muhammad there is no Islam. This is the catch 22 of Islam.
It is those who renounce jihad against infidels who in reality have hijacked Muhammad's religion.
Problem is, the extent to which Turkey — where, just incidentally, "Mein Kampf" was a top 10 bestseller this spring — has ever functioned as a democracy is directly related to the efforts of a strong man, Ataturk...

After seeing the all hatred, violence, misogyny and outright barbarism done in the name of allah, one wonders why all of those moderate muslims aren't questioning the merits of their religion...You'd think it'd dawn on them that maybe islam should be discarded in favor of a more enlightened faith.
No faith at all would be a move in the right direction, for even the faithless have a law unto themselves which is more in harmony with the natural order of things than the perversions of Islam.
LOL. Perhaps it's because the "true believers" simply accuse them of engaging in bidah and they end up on the wrong side of the prophecy of the 72 sects...

In fact, there can be no reform of true Islam. That would necessitate the denouncing of the so-called prophet and his self-serving skewering of stolen scripture. Ergo, Islam must be destroyed. There is no other way.

If we apply the handy old "80-20" rule to the 13-century history of Islam, the answer: 80% of the time, and that's a charitable estimate;
The political leaders of the West cannot deal with this because they (quite idiotically) fear an enormous populist anti-Muslim backlash that will spiral out of control and take them down with it. Hence this "hi-jacked ROP" nonsense. It would be far more sensible to restrict Muslim immigration to the West, and immediately deport those here illegally (1) and deport those who espouse radical beliefs or urge the death of "infidels."(2)
This may be achieved by some success of the very nationalistic parties in Europe, but it ain't gonna be pretty.
Muhammad's religion is no religion I'm familiar with. The ONLY thing coming out of it is hatred and violence. The Crusaders were RIGHT!!!
The spiritual answer is that they're blinded by Satan. That's a little too black and white for the PC crowd, however...the bulk of which are non to anti-religionists.

As someone who just discovered I have Crusaders in my family tree, I can say- they didn't finish the job when it came to Muslims.
This time- until there are no more, until Islam joins the other evil cults of history and mention of the word is the most foul a human can utter.
