Both senators made no mention of the incident in press statements after the visit. Mr. Kennedy, in his statement, said that he is "impressed with the courtesies and professionalism of the men and women in our armed forces."

Shocker

They're all elist snobs .. like Kennedy .. and would vote for any democrat no matter what they did.

However, since MA has elected a repub as Gov (Romney) - who knows how much longer people will have to suffer with Kennedy.

Puh-leeze Kennedy, or any Democrat for that matter, has never been impressed with the armed forces. They loathe the military and will do anything to undermine them.

Mr. Kennedy has been a leading advocate for closing the prison facility. Mr. Akaka in April voted for an amendment that would have cut funds for the prison

Yeah, sure. Let's criticize the heck out of Gitmo and then vote to cut funds so they have even less resources to use when dealing with these murderous Muslim pukes. What a crock of crud this Akaka is. Any comment I make about the person who shouldn't even BE a Senator after leaving the scene of an accident and allowing a woman to suffocate and drown in his car, probably having been very intoxicated when he lost control of it...would cause the post to be pulled.

Note to Ted: It is about time you checked out reality. Most of us have known this for years; nay, decades. We know reality is a foreign concept to you, though, so we do not expect any long-term improvement on your part. But we all know why you are criticizing the troops: because you are a gutless man who would not know the first thing to do during a war on terror. And you were also one of those who thought we were torturing prisoners at Abu Graib. Wow, Ted, being a bit humiliated in prison (where you should have been due to a bridge incident during the late 60s) is not really torture, is it? But you take every opportunity to blame everything on President Bush. I eagerly await they day you retire, sir. It will be a step forward for America.

Mass residents have a terrific chance in voting this guy out in 2006 - the drums have begun - just give us SOMEONE. I say Bill Cosby as an independent, let's see how they can go against him!
