I am bitter and offended how the government and everyone else catered to the families of the wealthy 9/11 victims, throwing money at them, yet the families of our dead soldiers who have died for this country are given hardly anything.

Many are puzzled - it is a hot subject among troops returning from Iraq.
You are not alone.

Tancredo vs Hillary = Clintons moving back into WH.Would you be voting for Hillary or Tancredo?
To: Black Tooth
As I have said on this thread already...if Tancredo is the R nominee, R's will vote for him. However, if he is the nominee, he'll very likely lose to Hillary. Hence, he won't be the nominee.
But I digress.....and leave you to this Bush-bashing thread. Enjoy!

Where to begin, where to begin?
I would vote for Tancredo in a heartbeat if he received the GOP's nomination and laid out a comprehensive, conservative agenda. My fear is that we'll end up with McCain v. Hillary--two candidates who can jump when a pressure group gives the word.
I've given up on Mr. Bush with the border situation; not to be negative or cast aspersions on him. Enforcing immigration laws--protecting the borders, particularly southern--in a strong sense just isn't a priority. I have issues with some the administration's policies, but I don't bash the man. I pray that he does the right thing for America.
What about the border?....Looks like it's up to us and the BP.

Theodore Roosevelt
"The President is merely the most important among a large number of public servants. He should be supported or opposed exactly to the degree which is warranted by his good conduct or bad conduct, his efficiency or inefficiency in rendering loyal, able, and disinterested service to the Nation as a whole. Therefore it is absolutely necessary that there should be full liberty to tell the truth about his acts, and this means that it is exactly necessary to blame him when he does wrong as to praise him when he does right. Any other attitude in an American citizen is both base and servile. To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public. Nothing but the truth should be spoken about him or any one else. But it is even more important to tell the truth, pleasant or unpleasant, about him than about any one else." "Roosevelt in the Kansas City Star", 149 May 7, 1918

Forget Tancredo--the GOP should nominate that guy!
What did you say his name was again? ;)
To: anniegetyourgun
He'll be made into a three-headed, racist, right-wing nutbag. No different than any (R) today. The Left labels us while we sit on our hands and take it.
However, I do agree with you, Tancredo ain't the guy when it comes to winning over the center. But I have to say I love the fact that he does actually use no-nonsense rhetoric when it comes to illegal immigration.
He's right where we need him, IMHO.
