NBC News Blames Bush for Iranian Threat-(Brian Williams Andrea Mitchell; anti-Bush drivel!)
A.I.M.ORG ^ | JULY 27, 2005 | CLIFF KINCAID

Posted on 07/27/2005 12:56:47 PM PDT by CHARLITE

"As soon as I saw his picture in the paper, I knew that was the bastard," retired Army Col. Charles Scott, 73, a former hostage told the Times. "He was one of the top two or three leaders." Added Scott, "The new president of Iran is a terrorist." Scott is one of at least six former hostages who have stated that they believe the men are one in the same.

This is being viewed as an issue that can further complicate an already very complicated situation, as the U.S. seeks to keep Iran from developing nuclear weapons and from continuing to support terrorism, while hoping to move it toward a true democratic system.

"Indeed, Brian," replied Ms. Mitchell. "And all of the student leaders at the time who now are in the power structure in Iran were revolutionaries. It was an enormously popular takeover, they all supported it. But it would have a political effect because it would help the administration in its very apparent efforts to undermine this new government and paint it as a radical government."

So there you have it. Who are we to pass judgment? This is just George Bush on another one of his reckless crusades to, quote, "undermine this new government and paint it as a radical government."

In other words, don't blame the Iranian government for the fact that it is run by terrorists who hate America. Blame Bush.

Is Mitchell a member of MoveOn.org?

The brief excerpt doesn't really do this Cliff Kincaid article justice. I highly recommend reading the entire piece. It will get your blood boiling at the sheer, transparent partisanship and stupidity both of Williams and of Alan Greenspan's wife, Andrea Mitchell!

They've got to make as many derogatory remarks about Bush as they can before the viewers and advertisers pull the plug on them.

"They know it's Carter's fault, but it doesn't meet their agenda!"

.....and that's the god's truth. If only Ronaldus Magnus been president at that time, there would not have been any revolution at all, and therefore no massive funding of worldwide terror (including all of the murder in Israel) over these past 25 years.

As for how the return of Khomeini from France was "popular" in Iran, that's incorrect. I know Iranians who fled their country immediately after Khomeini's take-over, and they said that the incoming, murderous regime gathered up illiterate peasants from all over the country and trucked them into Tehran, gave them banners and instructions about how to display their "wild enthusiasm" for the cut-throats who were taking over. It was all a set-up, very similar to what Lenin did with the Russian "revolution."

Thanks for your intelligent remarks.

Char (:

MoveOn wouldn't have her. She's too liberal.

If they want to boost their ratings, they're going to have to come up with something more original than Bush bashing-it's been done to death in the MSM.

No one should be blind to the sins of the Shah, but he was a flaming lib compared to those who followed him. One need only look up The White Revolution and see his was at the very least a mixed record, unlike those who followed him.

I'm so glad you wrote that. I used to know a lesbian who fled Iran, and separately a man who'd fled long ago, and without prompting from me both of them went on and on about how basically once the actual revolution was over, a TINY core of loyalists to Khomeini held the door open for the mullahs to sweep in and say "Thanks we'll take it from here" and filled the leadership void.

No problem.

The media "Brian Williams" represents never lets facts get in the way of their petty tirades against the current administration.

How quickly they forget it was Carter's incompetence that allowed the tyrannical Iranian Regime to hold power within that country, funded terrorists, and enabled evil doers around the middle east.

To them, "Habitat for humanity Carter" is exempt from blame.

But we all remember, and we need to remind Brian...that his Canadian birth doesn't exempt him from knowing American History.

"The article is credited to Roger Aronoff."

My error. You are quite right. Maybe one of the moderators will take note and replace Cliff Kincaid with Roger Aronoff.

Sorry for the mental lapse on my part. I've been distracted by a family emergency.....

Thanks for being so alert, Johnny!

Char :)

What can you expect from a company that gave Keith Olberman a show in which he is allowed to talk politics? That's like giving Rosie O'Donnell a show about picking up guys.

I hope that's not same Keith Olberman who used to be a moronic sports announcer in Los Angeles back in the 2oth Century. I seem to recall he was dumber than the jocks! I thought he was dead, it's probably his son...

The question these neocommunist anti-Americans really should asking is "How on earth was Karl Rove able to manipulate the Iranian election and get a relatively unknown city mayor elected to the presidency?" Rove is such a devious devil! I wonder which team he's arranged to have win the World Series this year?

I'm fairly sure it's the same guy, although it's interesting how this piece explains his inability to drive. It may be true but I hadn't heard that one before.

Pass around the popcorn -- these clowns are fun to watch because they are so desperate. When your bucket is totally empty, all you can do is throw the bucket!!!

They are just having a "bad hair day" over the fact they are now so totally IRRELEVANT after a legacy to multiple major f-ups. The really good thing about LOSERS is that they are so easy to spot...

To bad these "clowns" give a bad name to actual clowns, but yeah...I agree...they've reached a whole new level of desperation...ha, who'd a thunk that was achievable?
