Group Authoring Fatwa Has Links to Bin Laden Ally

Thursday's religious edict condemning terrorism was authored and issued by the Fiqh Council of North America, an association of Muslim jurists who interpret Islamic law. The edict was signed by 18 council scholars. The Fiqh Council of North America traces its origins to the early 1960s and the Religious Affairs Committee of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) of the United States and Canada, according to the council's website. This Religious Affairs Committee evolved into the Fiqh Committee of the Islamic Society of North A

merica (ISNA), which was founded in 1980.

The MSA itself was an American outreach project of Pakistan's Jama'at-i-Islami (JI), an anti-Western fundamentalist group that calls Osama bin Laden a hero of the Islamic world. JI's president, Qazi Hussein Ahmed, has called the United States a "world terrorist" and advocated "martyrdom operations" in Iraq, Israel, Chechnya and Kashmir.

JI also boasts of maintaining "close brotherly relations" with and "practical links" to Hamas, a frequent sponsor of suicide bombings in Israel.

Well, the ties are kind of distant, but even so it's good that former associates of supporters of terror roundly reject terror as a political device.

I am glad that the statement was made...but why now?

Why not in late September of 2001?

I will remain very guarded regarding this group's intentions until I see more than very lately phrased words.

We see this now because Tom Tancredo, very wisely, publicly floated the idea of destroying Mecca. Now that something they truly fear is on the table, we see all sorts of conciliatory actions on the part of Muslims. The proof of my claim is the flood of similar arguments by Muslims against terror which did not follow the 9/11 attacks, did not follow the Madrid or London attacks, but did follow - very closely - Tancredo's remarks.

Exactly...which, if true, means the statement cannot be trusted. I hope I am wrong...but like I said, will remain extremely guarded until, over an extended period of time, something more than words are issued.

It sounds good but it needs to bear fruit.

Of course no Muslim can be trusted - the very fact of being a Muslim gives them divine license to lie to non-Muslims. As long as they maintain that they are Muslims, they maintain that they have no obligation to tell the truth to you.

Yeah Yeah Yeah...the Trojan Horse CAIR is backpedaling... Taking heat...they backup..and try to convince the rubes they are really moderate Muslims and that there 'really' is such a thing..

They have enough enablers decrying the false notion of Islam being a 'Religion of Peace' in very high places...places that actually give them and their fellow terrorists audiences..

Some have actually been photographed walking hand in hand with CAIR benefactors...

CAIR wants the heat off them so they can go back to doing what they have always done...influencing government...making American more amenable to an Islamic takeover..

First of Government leaders then Americans institutions..and it's laws, folkways, and morays..

If we were really serious about a 'war on terror' or whatever new-speak euphemisms the PTB are spouting this week our borders would be closed...and Islam would not be inside our borders..The Clintons and their MENA connections would be doing hard time..and CAFTA..would have never passed

But petrol dollars grease a lot of skids...and a buy a lot of political influence on the hill in the states on Madison Ave and in Hollywood..

We are fairly well compromised and fighting a retreating battle..

The floodgates are have been opened by those masquerading as our own..

One if by land
Two if by sea
Three when they come
by Washington DC

imo

Koran says lying to infidels is ok.

Then they're lying to Muslims too, as the fatwa is being read today at hundreds of mosques around the country.

How many time have you heard a Palestinian like Arafat or his successor CONDEMN Terrorism?

What is it about this backstabbing wink-wink that you don't understand?
