'We have to act against radical preachers'

They're not radicals. They are mainstream Muslims according to the article below.

Imams indulging in inflammatory rhetoric will be expelled even if their religious status is recognised by mainstream Muslim bodies.

---

The silence or lack of repudiation by a majority of mainstream Muslim bodies is deafening.

Where's the outrage that Islam, the "religion of Peace", is getting such a bad rap becuz of a few indulging Imams and fanatics.

"His proposals reflect French determination to act swiftly against extremists in defiance of the human rights lobby, which is noticeably less vocal in France than in Britain."

Huh? 1st declaration that Moslem toughs will be kicked out. And this general statement - less vocal on "human rights"? Acting swiftly? This can't be the France I know. Can't be.

OK, joke's over guys!

"Those who have assumed French citizenship will not be protected from deportation."

Now THERE is a policy every nation should learn! About ******* time!

May there be hope for the French?

I dont get this. Remember, this is the country that got in a tizzy about whether muslim girls could wear head scarves with their school uniforms, Chirac had to make a national speech about it. He tried to look like he was a tough guy over a foolish issue while doing nothing to stop the epidemic of crime from muslims in France. Sort of surprising that he found the stones to do this if saying "you must stick to the dress code" resulted in a national crisis.

They finally recognized that Muslims were corrupting their precious French Culture. A muslim majority in 20 years might even outlaw wine production.

My guess is that within a year they will require total immersion in French and outlaw speaking Arabic.

Wine and a pure French Language are the only 2 things a Froggie might actually fight for.

Isn't it a bit strange the name of the honcho is "Sarkozy"? I don't think that's very French. Sounds more slavic or russian......

Here we go again where the greatest "Frenchies" are really immigrants to their shores....?

Certainly they should be able to come here after the abuse France is reaoing on them. Those are now some poor individuals and we are known for our compassion the world over.
