I would venture that our take on Christianity is much watered down from that of 200 years ago not even considering 1000years ago. We emphasize the e,ement of forgivness through Christ not his wrath. Perhaps the Islam of the future will emphasis a softer allah. I don't know but I'm sure that our religous views are quite altered from our ancestors. People adapt---Muslims will either adapt or perish.

We emphasize the e,ement of forgivness through Christ not his wrath. That's because Christianity had a Reform movement. Islam hasn't and cannot as those who preach reform wind up with their heads separated from their bodies.

I believe somehow we and our religions will survive/evolve. Alot of this conflict is because between population growth and modern communications and travel-we're rubbing up against each other in ways that could not have happened before. The 20th century was the bloodiest century in Human history and yet the world population more than doubled in that time. We're very resilient.

The killings in the name of Islam have been going on for a lot longer than the author states. Let's not forget that it is perfectly correct to lie to "unbelievers". That would mean us.
I'm tempted to print this out and use it to line the cat box...but I hate to waste my printer ink.

At some point even the dumbest suicide bomber will figure out that higher ups never strap on bomb belts, but the West's patience isn't limitless.

Regretfully you may be right. What the author missed (and they almost always do) is that the American people are probably the most heavily armed civilian populace in the world.
Going to be a bad day for muslims next go around.

The Muslim fundamentalist who attacked the Dutch film director Theo Van Gogh in the Netherlands, stabbed him more than 23 times then cut his throat. He recently proudly proclaimed at his trial: "I did it because my religion - Islam - dictated it and I would do it again if were free." Which preacher told this guy this is Islam? That preacher should be in jail with him.
I'll give him credit here. All these jihadis must get clerical permission to jihad on us. So there can be no expectation of virgins in paradise for the terrorists if they don't get the imam's permission. The clerics are indispensable to jihad and they are every bit as guilty.
What the writer won't admit is that this is the nature of Islam. This is exactly how they expand historically. It is their modus operandi. It is a cruel and barbaric gutter religion, a classic barracks religion. This pretense that BushCo and the PC establishment in America preach at us about the real peace-loving sweet nature of Islam is nothing but a huge lie.
Hopefully, at some point we will summon the courage of the French (Hah!) and begin to expel or imprison all imams who preach jihad. And all the incitement literature in their mosques should be used as evidence against them in trials or deportation hearings. Most of that literature is Saudi-published.

Demon possession can not be put out like a fire. The demons like to see a human life destoryed without mercy.

I'm not sure the West is united at this point, particularly France and Germany. However, perhaps it will come to that if the Islamist violence-mongers keep it up.
