What a sick B*stard, and he did it where a kid could see it no less! I can't believe this guy still has his job, much less a stint in the local jail. To let those animals suffer like that instead of a quick shot and peaceful death is beyond me.

This guy should be charged with animal cruelty! When will people realize that these people are prone to child abuse ( which this case also was!) and also prone to other crimes of violence. They should fire this guy! I am so mad at this city officials!

For punishment, the supervisor was ordered to attend classes with animal control officers. Don't try this at home. Your punishment will include heavy fines and jail time!

These government workers think they can get away with anything. I wonder how he would feel without his $4000-a-month pension?

I tried to find a website I could email to this city, no luck. Anyone have a website or email address? I can't believe they don't fire this idiot and I'm still fruious they didn't give a hefty fine and jail time.

...the workers took the dogs from the pound to the sewer plant and dropped their cages into the water. Can somebody explain to me how this @ssclown has the authority to take dogs from the pound and drop them, inside their cages, into the water? And why he doesn't receive a comparable form of 'treatment'?

the workers took the dogs from the pound to the sewer plant and dropped their cages into the water. This is not an instance of stray animals on property, but a planned, intential act of cruelty! They went to the pound and got the animals cages no less. Not only should the supervisor be jailed and drowned, so should the lame brain lackeys that followed such outrageous directions!

Not the first time that town has felt the breath of scandal-Jourdanton is a small rural and commuter community about 30 miles south of SA-their mayor and councilpersons are volunteers who mostly work in SA. There have been some pretty awful scandals that have come out of there in the past 12 years or so, including one involving the local police. This one just left me speechless, though-they should jail the assh*** who perpetrated this act of cruelty, not send him to classes.

Some city officials in Jourdanton, Texas, are outraged that a public works supervisor ordered employees to drown six stray dogs at the city sewer plant, rather than having the animals properly euthanized. I say this man deserves to be put in a cage and received similar treatment. This is beyond inhumane!
For punishment, the supervisor was ordered to attend classes with animal control officers.
What the--? He still has his job?? WTF??

In his twisted heartless little mind he probably thought he was saving the tax payers money. He needs to be fired at the very least.
