Thanks for the blogsite.
I checked the SOS site before I linked it...there's a live link on it to Hamilton Co. election results.

OK, here's the scoop from ground zero -- Clermont County.
We're tracking the precincts considered critical to Schmidt's election effort . . . the Republican turnout in these precincts is double what we achieved for the primary . . . This is a VERY GOOD thing!!
Yes, we're tired; yes, we're still burned out from the 2004 election . . . but the core group is still motivated (mostly for the President) and we're doing EVERYTHING possible to keep this seat in Republican hands!!
[I've NEVER seen the Democrats more obnoxious . . . We've had to deal with Max Cleland, John Glenn, James Carville (who wrote the campaign ads), Tom Daschle (can we spell desparate), and EVERY major Democrat officeholder in Ohio . . . The Democrats have thrown more into this election than the 2004 presidential race!]
I'm off to do more calling before 7:30 PM . . . And this is my 25th wedding anniversary -- don't tell me we're not motivated!!!

Schmidt says she's up by 17% and Hackett claims he's within margin for error. We'll see who is right in the next hour!
To: gopwinsin04
Margin of error huh???
I wonder how many democratic lawyers are in OHIO as we speak.

Voting was way down from the primary in my precinct. My precinct's in downtown Cincinnati though, so that's a good thing.

The Dems are doing this for the same reason they did it in Florida (where it failed). They want so bad to make Bush's victory in Ohio "tainted". If they take a solid R district they will trumpet it to the hills that the people of Ohio are showing how angry they are that Bush STOLE Ohio and the Election in 2004.
As I said, they tried it in Florida against Jeb and against Katherine Harris and got thier arses handed to them.
This time they will proclaim victory even if they lose if Schmidt gets less than 70% of the vote (historically the district goes greater than that to R). If it is closer than that, they will claim it a victory and the MSM will trumpet how BUsh has been repudiated.

The Democrat in Ohio is running as a Republican hiding their lust for taxation, having called Bush an SOB, and saying this was a bad war...
I heard the commercials, he's not running as a Democrat, if he was to squeak by, it would have been done by talking like and Republican and never attaching Democrat to his run.

Just got off the phone with a GOP mid level staffer, told me it's a 10% spread in favore of Schmidt. This guy has been reliable.
