Aw, cut her some slack. She's anti-ACLU becuase of abortion and her faith. She's on the right path. Dollar for donuts she doesn't understand the political details surrounding the NAACP. I'm glad that NAACP money is going into her education and not to Hillary.
What a crock. The American Communist Lawyers Union was founded by Communist sympathizers and its first cases were defending Communists. We all know where Communists stand on the issue of individual rights ...

Why not? People have all kinds of personalities. She could have stood up for classmates from the time she was small, and she is a regular church-goer. I say good for her. It may be tougher for her money-wise, but she'll be more appreciative and hardened when she graduates.

Correct. Most Black people still hold a romantic view of the NAACP from a time when it actually meant something for us, and hadn't sold out to Left.
It just came across to me as imputing a higher level of commitment that likely accurate, that's all.

I think that it is wonderful she turned them down...as far as the ACLU "defending" individual rights...Since when?...they've campaigned against the paramount Constitutional Right to Life most recently in the Terri Schiavo murder case and have NEVER defended the 2nd or 10th Amendements to the Constitution ...I could argue the Klan is a "defender " of individual rights too...(opposition to Communism,Big Government,supported the Right to Bear Arms.....)

Why not forward this article to the Rutherford Institute, the Thomas Moore Center, and some of the other organizations you have listed and see if any of them offer scholarships that might be substituted for the one she just turned down from the ACLU.
Many of our conservative natured youth don't quite understand the depth of all of these organizations. So she has been fooled to believe the NAACP is good...so have many adults. I think she is sharp to see thru the ACLU who also fool many people into thinking they are good.
Make sure to ping us with what you find out.
The only thing the ACLU defends is the destruction of America. Great to hear some 18 year olds have a head on their shoulders.
