NY TIMES INVESTIGATES ADOPTION RECORDS OF SUPREME COURT NOMINEE'S CHILDREN

**Exclusive**

The NEW YORK TIMES is looking into the adoption records of the children of Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

The TIMES has investigative reporter Glen Justice hot on the case to investigate the status of adoption records of Judge Roberts’ two young children, Josie age 5 and Jack age 4, a top source reveals.

Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants.

Both children were adopted from Latin America.

A TIMES insider claims the look into the adoptions records are part of the paper's "standard background check."

When reached by phone Thursday morning, Glen Justice had no offical comment.

Roberts’ young son Jack delighted millions of Americans during his father’s Supreme Court nomination announcement ceremony when he wouldn’t stop dancing while the President and his father spoke to a national television audience.

Previously the WASHINGTON POST Style section had published a story criticizing the outfits Mrs. Roberts had them wear at the announcement ceremony.

One top Washington official with knowledge of the NEW YORK TIMES’ plans declared: “Trying to pry into the lives of the Roberts’ family like this is despicable. Children’s lives should be off limits. The TIMES is putting politics over fundamental decency.”

One top Republican official when told of the situation was incredulous. “This can’t possibly be true?”

What are these people thinking? I can't claim to be shocked by this but appalled covers my feelings. This is an absolutely perfect example of the lengths to which the Dem/libs will go to stop ANY Bush nominee.

The liberals are desperately trying to Bork Judge Roberts, they will stoop to any low to try and make him look bad.

The referenced article regarding the children's clothing is disgusting. The Style article was classless, obviously written by someone with no breeding and too ignorant to know how stupid she really is. They are confirming their identities as bottom feeders to have to resort to criticizing classic children's clothing worn by innocents.

Where were they when Chelsea was going through her difficult "Eleanor Roosevelt" years?

* Note to the NY Times. There are people born in South America that have blonde hair.

The Democrats will stop at nothing... nothing to maintain their hold on power in the Supreme Court. It is the last arrow in their quiver, and they will cease to be a relevant force if they lose it.

This is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better. A cornered animal is always the most dangerous.

My fearless prediction...? You don't wanna know...

When the Times wants to get rid of a Bush Appointee, they usually demand to see all of the person's tax records to see if they can create a 'Nannygate".

Since that failed, they are going after the kids.

If the adoption process of the two children goes nowhere, perhaps they should republish Robert's High School year book photo and criticize the plaid jacket he was wearing.

The problem is, a lot of international adoptions include some form of consideration, be it a bribe or an exhorbitant fee, in order to make the process go forward. This is SOP. But if the Donks want to make an issue of it, they can probably make Roberts look bad.

The fact that they will wind up closing down the international adoption route and consign hundreds of thousands of children to lives of oppression and desolation will not matter to them a bit. They are doing it for the chilllllldrun, after all.

How naive can we be? "One top Republican official when told of the situation was incredulous. “This can’t possibly be true?”"

I'd like to know who the top Republican official is......just so I make sure I never trust his judgement again!!!

Democrats would justify going after adoption records as akin to going after others on their Nanny records. Remember Clinton lawyer, William H. Kennedy III, Linda Chavez, Zoe Baird, Kimba Wood? And to have the Roberts' two adorable BLONDE children, adopted from South America, it's inconceivable the adoption of these children wouldn't pique the interest of Democrats and the anti-Roberts MSM.

Thanks for the phone numbers. I just called The Times, and told them I was outraged over their investigating the adoption of the Roberts' children. They give you a choice of departments or people to speak with. I didn't know from the choices given to whom I should speak , so I told the operator 'The Times was a slime publication that was worse than Then National Enquirer, The Star, and The Globe., and the publisher needed to institutionalized for mental problems.' I do hope they get the message!!

Robert's children (and anyone else's) are expendable, in order to preserve the right to dispose of other children at will.

The previous sentence contains zero exaggeration. It is an entirely accurate depiction of the Democratic Party's organizing principle. God owes Moloch an apology if the Democrats succeed and we don't slide into the sea.

My e-mail to the Slimes:

To whom it may concern,

I am writing in reference to the investigative piece you are working on about the adoption of Judge Roberts children. I didn't think it was possible for your paper to sink this low. If your paper goes through with this piece you will go the way of Dan Rather. We conservatives are fed up with Main Stream Media bias, and we will ensure this gets out. Rathergate was nothing, knocking off the NY Times will be sweet.

If your paper had any real journalistic integrity left you would be running stories on Air America stealing money from children and Alzheimer's patients, but instead you are going after the family of highly respected Judge. The stunts that Progressives/Liberals/ Communists pull to smear Conservatives never cease to amaze me. So go ahead and run with this, and just like the band Foreigner's song "I wanna know what love is", this piece will be the song that killed the NY Times!!

I know my neighbor adopted a boy from the former Soviet republic of Georgia. He had to pay a whumpin' huge bribe to finally get the kid out of the country. How will the media react if it turns out Robert did something similar?

I don't fault my neighbor. The child was in an orphanage and needed medical care. He is now healthy, happy and well cared for, which is about as good a result as one could hope for. But could the bribe be misconstrued as a purchase of a child? I dunno. But I know the New York Times will try their level best to smear Roberts, so they would try to make it so.

All this is hypothetical, of course. Perhaps the Roberts' adoptions were completely above board. However, that is not usually the case, from what I have seen.

I'm just wildly speculating, but I find it strange that both kids were adopted from Latin America and are, from all appearances, completely white. In the U.S., most states only let you adopt one healthy white child. I wonder if the biological mother is not an American who the Roberts convinced (e.g., paid) to give birth in another country, and then turn around and let them adopt the baby. This would be unseemly, if true. Like I said, wild speculation. But it's strange that the children are not Hispanic.
