Vanity: Liberalism 101

Posted on 08/04/2005 8:34:04 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Edited on 08/04/2005 8:42:09 PM PDT by Jim Robinson. [history]

What it all boils down to:

Liberals believe there is no God. No everlasting life. No heaven. No hell. No Creator. All of creation is simply an accident of nature. Man and all other creatures that walk or crawl or fly or swim in the sea evolved from slime. There was no Adam and no Eve. No Moses. No commandments from God. No Savior. There are no God-given rules or rights. They don't care how often they lie or how hypocritical they sound. They have no morals and no shame. No need for prayer or spiritual guidance. They want no limits, no rules and respect no authority. Abortion, murder, doesn't really matter. There is no right and no wrong. They don't really care how many helpless people are slaughtered by tyrants. They really do not care about life much less about human rights. They have no concept of morality, or moral government, justice, equality under the law, or freedom. Life has no meaning and no value.

What a sad existence.

They believe they're Gods on Earth. They're not, which is why they're ultimately miserable.

Liberals ain't real fond of God because He thinks He's 'all that'....That kind of presumptuous arrogance won't be encouraged or tolerated if they have anything to do with it.

If there is no Creator from whence do our rights come from? And then what is the point of this country?

"No need for prayer or spiritual guidance."

Except when something happens; they crowded into unfamiliar churches on 9/12. They say, "Oh, God..." when they have a hurricane or a hangnail. It's all about "me, me, me."

Ah, but they care about their life. Their life has meaning and value, so long as they have their pleasure.

It's the "other lives" which have no meaning, no value.

I agree--What a sad existence! And, even worse, they want everyone else to be as hateful, as mean, as nasty as they are so they tear down everything that is good and decent. Makes me so sad sometimes. Then I remember: I will not be like that EVER! I am only on earth for a few short years, and I will use those years as best I can to help others.

I'm guessing this results from a desire for all the "benefits" of a religious life (such as the comfort of spiritual power and a belief in an immortal soul) but without having to pay the price of abiding by the moral responsibilities required of true believers.

Liberals believe three things:

1) Whatever happened, they could've done it better.
2) If they fail, it was someone else's fault.
3) People of color are inferior.

The news feeds the mind and the vanity not only the mind, but the soul.

Thank you. Your post is a truthful commentary on the baseless nature of the left.

It frustrates me to no end when talk show host try to explain the origins of liberalism within the mind, and they're so far off. Rush does this from time to time, and he's said for years that the root of liberalism is self hatred and/or low self esteem. As much as I adore el Rushbo, I continue to yell at the radio, "NO, NO, NO Rush, it's the opposite!" They ADORE themselves!

You nailed it perfectly, Jim. If they convince themselves there's no God, then they're free to become God of their own universe, and all the selfishness they can display is without consequence.

One little problem: I call it "Aging Atheist Syndrome." When they get to their mid to upper fifies, they get REALLY wacky. Hypochondriacs, hyper clean-freaks, wackier control-freaks than they were as younger adults. The underlying concience keeps repeating, "...if you're wrong, you're screwed, and if you're right you're screwed too!

So they do everything they possibly can to run from aging and death, all while trying to appear as normal as possible. I know several in my life, and some days I laugh, other days I pray for them.

True.

They fancy themselves our self-appointed care-takers. When they are rejected, they get angry. When this rejection is perceived to have no end in sight, you end up with this irrational, vindictive bunch of freaks that we're dealing with today.

These people are so emotionally unstable that a guy like Howard Dean looks well-grounded and secure, by comparison....They'd realize this serious flaw in their nature, and at the same time, take a giant leap in understanding what's at the very root of all that ills them. If only they stopped for 2 minutes of self-analysis, but of course, that would take away valuable time from their primary mission: undermining this President as far as they are able.

I truly do believe that the liberals feel self-hatred. They may try to project the image of self-love, but this image is shattered by their actions. They are never happy.

All of the die-hard liberals I know are constantly unhappy and constantly complaining. Most of them, I have honestly never seen satisfied with anything.

"They want the good feeling of spirituality without the burden of responsibility and morality."

Unregenerate folks always behave like unregenerate folks... and mock that which they know nothing about.

Before God revealed himself to me, I was "unregenerate" and of the strong opinion that religion was a bunch of hooey for weak people and those afraid to live life fully, on their own.

Well I no longer believe that about God and religion, thank God!

But when we indulge in criticizing the ones still in darkness I always try to remember that,
"...but for the grace of God, there go I."

You can't respect The One for whom you have no knowledge.
They can't see their own need because of sin. Oh my!
They want the transforming of the Holy Spirit but they don't know it is the Holy Spirit they are missing.

Salvation Required, Not Optional!

A Parody of the poem Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and waste,
And remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.
Avoid quiet and passive persons unless you are in need of sleep.
Rotate your tires.

Speak glowingly of those greater than yourself,
And heed well their advice, even though they be turkeys.
Know what to kiss and when.
Consider that two wrongs never make a right,
But that three lefts do.

Wherever possible put people on "HOLD".
Be comforted that in the face of all aridity and disillusionment,
And despite the changing fortunes of time,
There is always a big future in computer maintenance.
Remember the Pueblo.

Strive at all times to bend, fold, spindle and mutilate.
Know yourself. If you need help, call the FBI.
Exercise caution in your daily affairs,
Especially with those persons closest to you;
That lemon on your left for instance.

Be assured that a walk through the ocean of most souls,
Would scarcely get your feet wet.
Fall not in love therefore; it will stick to your face.

Carefully surrender the things of youth: birds, clean air, tuna, Taiwan,
And let not the sands of time get in your lunch.
For a good time, call 606-4311.

Take heart amid the deepening gloom that your dog
Is finally getting enough cheese;
And reflect that whatever fortunes may be your lot,
It could only be worse in Sioux City.

You are a fluke of the Universe.
You have no right to be here, and whether you can hear it or not,
The Universe is laughing behind your back.

Therefore make peace with your God whatever you conceive him to be,
Hairy Thunderer or Cosmic Muffin.

With all its hopes, dreams, promises, and urban renewal,
The world continues to deteriorate.
Give up.

Of course they're consumed with self-hatred. Their 'right to choose', their 'right to die', ect. It makes no difference here.

You could hand them every possible right one could imagine, even that which should be inconceivable, like the right to kill anyone without consequence, and they would NEVER find peace or satisfaction with themselves. It's a boredom with life that just can't be pacified.

Tammy Bruce comes to mind...A liberal feminist author who's had her fill of these clowns. She nailed it when she called them 'malignant narcissists'.

Liberalism 401: Liberalism is dead. Rewrites of the Constitution are not permitted except by amendment. People live and breathe, our Constitution does not. Our Constitution may have be written by mortals, but it was endorsed by Gods the world over. Allah Akbar is the greatest perversion of the meaning of God since creation.
