You're so very welcome.
G'day, Jonny. I LOVE the graphic you posted, LOL! The last thing our Marxist, peacnik former president needs is to have anything military named after him. Sometimes I wish we could vote on these names, sigh.
LMAO.....just a quick sneak on the thread..Brandon is in his room watching Lady and the Tramp for the zillionth time..!
Bravo, Wolfstar! That was great.
Who ever thought a nuclear submarine would be named after Mr. Peanut? I shudder to think that a military vessel of any shape or size could carry Clinton's name. (I hope not--he was impeached, after all.)
If all America could see the Dose daily - especially selections like these - more of the 30% or whatever percent of those who oppose him on every turn - would see the truth of the hardworking, always Presidential, George W. Bush, and would be so proud (as we are) that this man leads our country and the world.
Hey, Buddy! There's a John Wayne marathon on TCM--all your favorites :)
A great subject makes it easy. :-)
Yikes...Im missing the Duke?....I don't get TCM...it's a premium channel here and I didn't take it...my cable bill is high enough now with broadband....shudder..
ROTFLOL!! I love your answer the most!!!
Only reason Carter has a sub named for him, I think, is because he was in the Navy. But he IS a national embarrassment. As for x42, let's hope the powers that be who make such decisions never reach the bottom of the barrel when it comes to names.
Oh, if only Scott McClellan were free to speak to the media like that. They sure don't deserve the respect accorded them.
Really? It's a basic channel on Direct TV and Dish Network. It's all Duke, all day :) But I'm sure you have 'em all already.
BTW, "Island In The Sky" and "The High And The Mighty" are out on special edition double-disk DVD, both loaded with extras.
Yep, Google turned up a pic of Carter in his Navy whites--don't worry, I won't post it ;)
I hope whoever is in charge of naming ships/boats/dinghies will remember Clinton's "I loathe the military" letter that he wrote in his college days--that alone should disqualify him.
Hmmmm...I'll have to buy them for my collection....I had most of Wayne's films on VHS, Im slowly replacing them on DVD when they are released...
LOL! If x42 ever gets a boat named after him, I hope it's a leaky, rusted old one.
ROFLMAO!!! How about the S.S. Minnow.
They also have TONS of Wayne DVDs for $5.50--his real movies, not those B-movies he made before he became really famous. I want to get "Big Jake" next--it's one of his best movies, IMO, but also one of his most overlooked.
I watched "Island in the Sky" recently. Don't like it much. My favorite Duke movie is "The Quiet Man." His most poignant movie was, of course, his last, "The Shootist." My favorite movie star ever is the great James Stewart, and the Duke is my #2 favorite. The best movie they made together was "Who Shot Liberty Valence."
