The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

It's hardly a unique fashion statement for a mass transit rider: a Yankees-style cap, and a "New York" sweat shirt.

But the New York Police Department is teaming with British authorities to determine whether those items were worn by suspects in the London terror cases to send a "purposeful message" to the city, according to an NYPD officials.

David Cohen, the NYPD's deputy commissioner of intelligence, raised the concern earlier this week at a security briefing for business leaders at police headquarters in Lower Manhattan.

"Al-Qaeda vows new attacks as London bomber appears in video"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Al-Qaeda second in command Ayman al-Zawahiri threatened more attacks against Western countries like the July strikes on Britain, in a videotape aired by Al-Jazeera which also showed one of the London suicide bombers.

"The lands and interests of the countries which took part in the aggression against Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan are targets for us," Zawahiri said in the tape broadcast by the Qatar-based news channel.

Zawahiri hailed the July 7 "conquest" in London as similar to those in Madrid last year and the United States in September 2001, appearing to take responsibility for the rush-hour bombings on underground trains and a bus which killed 52 people."

Gas in my area is just crazy.

It went up 20 cents a gallon here overnight. Each day is small leap. If this continues, prices on just about everything are going to skyrocket and THAT is going to create financial disaster.

Yesterday someone back east told me restaurants in their area are suffering because people are beginning to pull back on other expenses to pay their fuel bills...It's only just begun IMHO.

Has anyone took a good look at the new tape from AQ I was looking at a picture He has this weird coat on like where he is at is cold. It should be warm or hot in Pak, Afgan or Iran right now so is this a go sign. His hands are positioned strange as well. If you go to the Drudge report and click on the article the picture of him is there.
