WASHINGTON - At least 80 wealthy liberals have pledged to contribute at least $1 million each to fund a network of think tanks and advocacy groups, to compete with the potent conservative infrastructure built up during the last three decades.

$80 million, huh? How will we ever match that? Let's see, bumping my FR contribution up another $5.00 a month should just about do it.

My guess would be that his tenure was before the fall of the Shaw. At one time, Tehran had many western-style schools.

From your fine research, it looks like these aren't your run-of-the-mill LIBERALS, it's really a global, socialist think-tank with Gluckstern at the helm to turn over the U.S. government to our enemies.

Sometimes I do fantasize that all of this will just be seen as some sort of bizzare and momentary dementia in our nation's development. Sort of like the onset of puberty, or one's Senior Prom.

I imagine a wise and learned professor 300 years hence going over all of this with a group of college freshman, who after gleefully pointing out lunicies like PETA, Andy Warhol, Global Warming and the Democrat Party, sits back and chuckles over the disbelief of his charges.

It would be sort of like how we react when we hear about our ancestors beating on drums to chase away solar eclipses.

Of course, there are other times when I think that they will prevail, and that reasonable behavior shall pass from this earth, at least in public life.

It is amazing what silliness our civilization can get up to these days. It is no wonder the Chinese and the Mullahs are so arrogant.

All the liberal major philanthropic foundations, with literally billions spent, tried for years to compete with the dominant conservative think tanks. It did not work then or now. $80 million is chump change comparatively speaking.

November 2003

support glaad.org

Hi Folks,

I'm going to cut to the chase this month, so that you'll have a few minutes to check out some of the great new features at GLAAD.org.

Big News! At last month's board meeting, Board member Judy Gluckstern and her husband Steven announced a $250,000 gift to GLAAD, and they designated $50,000 specifically to the Digital Initiative. This represents the single largest board member gift to GLAAD in its 18-year history, and we are tremendously appreciative.

Judy and Steven are longtime major donors, and Judy joined the board in early 2003. She brings with her a tremendous wealth of board experience.

The Noyce Foundation is focused on public education (LIBERALS most successful playground)

A pinch of information (Of course their stated focus is all about (((choke))) "the children." I truth, their mission is tapping into and influencing the public education marching army and educating and recruiting students to their cause.)

***.......We believe in focusing on the system. Working exclusively with teachers without considering the systems in which they are situated is insufficient. We believe that the organizational context is critical and our strategies need to target key aspects and role groups in and around the system in order to see promising change. Whether the context is a school, a district, a non-profit organization, or a region, we aim to impact the environment to advance our mission.

We believe in professional development. We think practice changes through professional development, and we utilize multiple strategies coupled with high quality curriculum, assessments, and standards to engage adults.

We believe in fostering leadership. Strong leadership is at the heart of a strong organization. We focus on the development of leaders in order to promote their ability to leverage change in the system.

We believe in focusing on results. We not only concentrate on improving results for children, but we also concentrate on improved results for all participants in the system. It is essential for us to know how well we are doing relative to our goals.

We believe in long term work. As our colleagues have said, school reform is steady work. We know that changing practice and systems is not quick or easy business-it requires a sustained effort until new systems are established. We make long term commitments.

We believe in seizing opportunities. When we see promising opportunities or changes in the field we capitalize on the occasion by providing a boost in funding in exchange for potential leverage, resources, or an expanded knowledge base.......***

They deal in fooling people into giving them control over their lives.

LIBS are losing power and need to think up better ways to promote special interest groups and alienate them from the right. That's how they make constituents.

The problem is, they don't control the media and the debate anymore.

Money never was equal to ideas.

Remember Ross Perot's "Giant Sucking Sound"?

Visualize $80 million going down a black hole.

I believe they'll make a well-thought-out decision to put a lot of that money into 527's again. Pretty smart, eh? They put multi-milllions in their 527s last election, and one conservative 527 (Swifties) mashed them flat.

Think Tank......Well, lots of Dems/libs are notorious for getting tanked, but can any of them think? 8-D

If that isn't the truth! I watched and listened to as many speakers as I could who attended the Young America's Foundation convention last week. More importantly, I listened to most of the Q&A sessions that followed the speakers. I heard no whining or attacks on the Left. I heard only young people who are more than ready to pick up the conservative standard.

OK let them waste their money.

You can only divide up abortion, socialism and secularism so many ways.

Liberal think tank's are to thought, what truth is to the New York Times.

I am afraid this is just another George Sor@$$ type project.

Liberals do not what to know the truth they want it how it is perceived to be by narrow minded individuals with a tilted agenda.

That DVD was recorded near Rochester NY in three separate break-ins at the Wegman's Food Markets chicken farm. they were recently apprehended after a years investigation. They thought they would get a $75.00 fine and go on their marry way. Not so PETA goose bumps, they were charged with felonies and will be tried, if convicted they could receive up to 7 years in jail and some pretty hefty fines. What goes around comes around, let's hope justice is served. Amen.

Nice pic of Shrillary wagging her scolding finger, mullah-style. Hmmm - ever notice on Al-Jazeera videos how those black-rag-heads can't even talk without that index finger jabbing skyward? Similar motives, yes?

They jab only with the right hand. Guess that's 'cause the left is used for personal hygiene.

At the end of the Roman Empire, Rome had some truly amazing buildings with people who had amassed vast sums of wealth. None of this helped, as spiritually they were as barren as a desert.

P.S. Not to knock deserts. I quite like the solitude of such open spaces.

Well, I'm gonna disagree with you here. The liberals "have" their own idea(s)---but in the final analysis, those ideas always devolve to one---SOCIALISM---which just isn't either popular or workable. But they "do" keep trying it.
