Soldier's Mother to Bush: "Why did you kill my son"
8/7/05 | CODEPINK e-mail

Posted on 08/07/2005 3:47:59 PM PDT by sdk7x7

I received the following e-mail from CODEPINK: ---

Dear CODEPINK Supporter,

Cindy Sheehan, whose son Casey was killed in Iraq, is holding vigil in Crawford, Texas until she gets a meeting with George Bush. She has some simple questions to ask him: “Why did you kill my son? What did my son die for? If the cause is so noble, why don’t you send your twins?” She also has a clear demand: “Honor our sacrifices by bringing our nation's sons and daughters home from a war based on lies and deceptions.”

On Saturday, as Cindy marched towards the ranch where Bush is vacationing for 33 days, she and her supporters, including CODEPINK cofounder Diane Wilson, were stopped by local sheriffs, who pushed them into a ditch with fire ants in 100 degree heat. Cindy was undeterred: “I am not leaving until I meet with George Bush and he answers my questions about the death of my son. This is the beginning of the end of the war in Iraq,” she said. (read more: http://www.demaction.org/dia/organizations/codepink/signUp.jsp?key=530)

Inspired by the power of Cindy’s determination Diane pledged that CODEPINK would join her in solidarity by staging a hunger strike. Diane has already begun her fast and many of us are making our way to Crawford to join her, including Ann Wright, former US Army colonel and senior diplomat who resigned after 35 years of service because of the Iraq war. (Cindy, Diane and Ann all have powerful essays in our book Stop The Next War Now: http://www.codepinkalert.org//article.php?id=325).

Knowing that every day lives are being lost in the war on Iraq, Cindy, Diane and Ann have taken an uncompromising position. This is a powerful moment in our struggle that cannot be overlooked by any of us who care deeply about the lives that are being wasted in this immoral war. When we are given the opportunity to witness someone else’s courage in the face of struggle, it is a gift. An even greater gift comes when we are presented with the possibility of joining boldly in that struggle.

Here are ways you can stand with them (click here for more info: http://www.demaction.org/dia/organizations/codepink/signUp.jsp?key=530):

- Come to Crawford or donate money or miles so others can come

- Fast in solidarity from home

- Spread the word by contacting the press

This vigil and fast follows in the footsteps of all those throughout history who have taken extreme action, putting their own needs aside to save our humanity. We are reminded of another great soul, Robin Cooke, former British Foreign Secretary who, in 2003, resigned from Blair’s cabinet in protest of the invasion of Iraq. Cooke died on Saturday, but his courageous example lives on for all of us to follow until the last foreign soldier leaves Iraq.

In solidarity, Dana, Farida, Gael, Jodie, Medea, Nancy, Rae, and Tiffany

P.S. Please join us in Washington DC on September 24-26 as we rally for the troops to come home (http://www.demaction.org/dia/organizations/codepink/signUp.jsp?key=443) and make sure you list your reason to get out of Iraq on onemillionreasons.org and pass it on to others (http://www.onemillionreasons.org/).

To help sustain our work and actions, please consider making a donation to CODEPINK today (http://www.codepinkalert.org/donate).

Actually, the lack of dignigy of some parents who lose sons in war is nothing new. There was one New Englander who was quoted as saying that cripple cost me my son...it was Joe Kennedy Sr on the death of his son Joe in Europe. This was in a private conversation, however. I wish the media would give attention to the many relatives who are handling the trajic loss of a loved one.

Silly moonbat. A Muslim terrorist murdered your heroic son. Not Bush.

“Why did you kill my son? What did my son die for?"

Sorry about your son, Ma'am, but he died so you don't have to cover your face when you go out in public, so daughters will be treated equally with your sons, and so you have the freedom to gain MSM attention without fear of death by whatever administration is currently in power.

Code Pink: 'nuff said. Sorry for your loss, Ma'am, but please do not allow the CP pigs to use you in such a shameless fashion. This is not what your son would have wanted, trust me.

This sickens me. Our President has a job to do. PERIOD. Nobody wishes death, but it happens. Our fine men and women signed up voluntarily. We need to support them and be there for them. We are safe and free enough to sit here on a glorious sunday because of them. We have to right to disagree with one another, because we are safe. I thank God and pray for these service members, those who have served and those that continue to do so.

As sorry as I am for her loss, she's allowing herself to be used as a tool for the MoveOn and Michael Moore nitwits who seek to harm this country. If it makes her happy, I've started the preliminary paperwork to rejoin the Army National Guard. I'll take her son's place in Iraq if that makes her happy.

That's what I think. Remember the shot when Bush came across the little girl at a rally who lost her dad on 911. Bush would get her right and the comunist party stuff would be history.

I know, I've been there, war that is.

There are two rules of war:

Rule #1: Young men die!

Rule #2: You can't do anything to change Rule #1.

lady, sorry for your loss and all, but your son volunteered for service, was mobilized, and was killed in the course of doing his duty.

given your incohate creeching, I cannot help but wonder whether your son joined the service in order to escape you.

An appropriate place for anyone associated with Code Pink.

There's nothing quite like a liberal standing on a grave. You can always tell that a petulant, moralistic stink is soon to follow.

Liberals are wretched creatures.

Best reply would be "I'm sorry for your loss and honor the brave and selfless choice your son made to help free millions of people from savagry. I didn't kill your son. Why are you helping the people who did kill him?"

The Democrats love to find these Oprahbots so they can use them as propaganda tools. They did the same thing with those scumbag "Jersey Girls" who lost alleged loved ones in the WTC attack. With the help of people like Perky Katie and the liberal TV newsrooms, the left easily gets its Bush-smearing message out.

Simple, obvious and straight forward answers to all of thios woman's questions.:

Why did you kill my son? The President didn't, the enemies of this nation did.

What did my son die for? The security of the UNited States and in defense of a now free people located in an area of strategic interest to the US and its liberty.

If the cause is so noble, why don’t you send your twins? Your son, God rest his soul, vulunteered for service in the US military, the President's twins have not.

I grieve with this woman over the loss of her son, but am absolutely sickened how that grief is being used for pure political purposes. She doesn't understand how badly she is being used and how terribly she is shaming and tarnishing the memory of her son IMHO.
