He would be neither!
He would be King!
I heard the Dems were thinking about allowing Pro-Life people back into the party. I guess that might allow Him in too.
But what about the concept of stealing from one person (taxes) to give to another (socialism)? Seems like that would be counter to His teachings as well.
And, lets not even get into the whole sodomy rights thing.
"Things of this Earth are foolishness unto the Lord..."
Oh, so it's alright to thrust one's religion into politics as long as Jesus is a hippie, eh?? Okie-dokie... these people are such hypocrits.
Jesus taught love, tolerance, forgiveness, charity and humility. Don't take my word for it. Read the New Testament. It's not that long. And it's not about fire-and-brimstone fundamentalism, judging one another or dominating the Earth. It outlines a philosophy based on a really radical idea: Love your creator, love yourself, love your neighbor as yourself.
Howard Dean: "I hate Republicans."
Not very Christ-like of him. I think that Dean's attitude is more typical of American liberalism than the fantasy world that this writer lives in. The American left is filled with hatred. They only love those who are bad. The rest of us, they hate.
Jesus ain't out collecting campaign money or taking polls.
Yeah, I remember. The non-exclusionary Jesus. "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. Wverybody can come to the Father, either through me or anyone else they choose."
Jesus TOLD me to have all those partial birth abortions...!!!
First clue the writer is ignorant on the subject of Jesus is when they refer to Him as "That Nazareth fellow".
Slogan for 2008- How Would Jesus Scream?
The fun thing about the Bible is that it is fairly flexible:
stealing from one person (taxes) ummm . . . ."Give unto Caeser . . . "
to give to another (socialism)? ummm . . . "Am I not my brother's keeper?"
Try telling them that He was/is the ONLY Son Of God..Watch the fire works and melt down.
I'm sure Jesus would appreciate his mother being put into a painting with feces all over it.
What a sick joke these people are. If it were not for the RATS, the GOP would never win.
Alot of people misinterpret the way Jesus handled the Money Changers in the Temple. He wasn't against them or the use of money or business. People needed to exchange their money for different currency in order to buy animals for sacrifice to God. Jesus was angered by the cheating that was going on.
What a low point in the sewer of politics.
The Dems are in full disarray with pipsqueaks like this one resorting to peurile silliness.
Or: Is this another "dirty Republican trick"?
Jesus was angered by the cheating that was going on.
He already is King..
Just giving folks a chance to either accept his free gift
of salvation or reject it...
Sheep and goats separating themselves based upon the inclinations of their own hearts...
His sheep hear His voice...and do His will...
Not very Christ-like of him. I think that Dean's attitude is more typical of American liberalism than the fantasy world that this writer lives in
VERY true. However, we are starting to see some of those on the other side adapt some of the same tactics and bash anyone who doesn't agree with them, even in minor ways and even some of those who are of the same party affiliation. There's a difference between simply disagreeing and condemning and ranting.
I thought that was pretty bizzaar as well. She can't even use his name. I thought that was a behavior that was confined to demons.
"Jesus entered the Temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. 'It is written,' he said to them, 'My house will be called a house of prayer but you are making it a den of robbers.'" (Matthew 21:12-13)
Sorry, those are contradictory statements. Furthermore, liberals don't increase tolerance through policy, if anything, they make people more resentful through their "tolerance" policies.
Linda Valdez is a moron, and so is this Bruch guy.
But what about the concept of stealing from one person (taxes) to give to another (socialism)?
That's where his Ceasar comment came in. It always has amazed me how he always knew the right things to say, but hen being a God, he should.
Sheep and goats separating themselves based upon the inclinations of their own hearts...
I remember an old guy coming to our meetings who was not a member of our congregation. He said that he respected our church a great deal. There was a Sunday School lesson about the sheep and the goats. For the next class of Bible study, he was asked to introduce himself. He said, "I'm one of the goats." Everybody about died laughing.
but then being
a God, he should.
Security....there's a parrot on the loose...
1. Would Jesus be shacked up with a Liberal/Socialist/Progressive/Communist hairy legs and arm pits, bra-burning, enviro-wacko, pro-abortion babe? No.
2. Would Jesus have children out of wedlock with out-of-control sex-addicted liberal whores, or abort unborn children? No.
3. Would Jesus go to our elementary schools and inculcate our children to embrace the homosexual lifestyle of wanton hedonistic sex, drugs, and, and disease? No.
4. Would Jesus tell lies to the masses to subvert Christian values and hate America? No.
5. Would Jesus be a drunk who attempts to rape a girl in his car and then kills her by driving off a bridge and cowardly swimming away leaving her to suffocate? No.
6. Would Jesus seek a court order to starve a critically ill woman to death so he could avoid criminal charges and be done with her? No.
I could on and on, but why bother!
"Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's. Render unto the Lord's what is the Lord's." Not only is he no Democrat, but he' get filibustered if nominated for SCOTUS.
And you shall know a tree by the fruit it produces. How do you do that if not by judging? I do not believe Jesus is telling us not to judge but be careful how you judge. A big difference. What is the fruit the Democratic Party is producing today?
Seems to me that "Nazareth fellow" would be pointing out to the Dems the wickedness of a lot of their ways...while trying to convince them of the true way in ways that would make some of them want to kill him, and that would touch the hearts and covert others.
I doubt highly that they would receive the seal of approval on killing the unborn, tolerating homosexual lifestyles or sexual promiscuity in the name of tolerance.
As for the social agenda, he taught that it was our personal obligation to care for the poor, not to pass it off to the government.
Word games, word games, word games.
In today's political climate though and the way both sides pounce on and bash each other, it's hard to say what would happen. Then again, if he had those legions of angels behind him, he could do some pretty quick convincing, actually on his own he could.
Jesus taught love, tolerance, forgiveness, charity and humility. Don't take my word for it. Read the New Testament. It's not that long.
I think this liberal minister still has some work to do on that humility angle! What an arrogant mope.
"All is vanity."
That Nazareth fellow would be making a new whip to srive the perverts, liars, and hypocrits OUT of the Temple where they were pushing their fund-raising by selling secular things to the REAL worshippers in the Temple!
Hey, you took my name. Being as round as I am becoming, I should be a mass(ive) Gop guy.
But the "Give unto Caesar" statement was not made when He ransacked the Temple, but rather when He was asked His opinion regarding taxation.
If you look closely at Post #30, agere_contra struck out the word "a"
Liberals who want to pretend to be Christians all seem to have this pathetically stupid Jesus-as-Robin-Hood mentality. Leaving aside the problems with homosexuality and abortion, the idea that Jesus would have favored Marxist redistributionism is sheer lunacy.
Liberal's always seem to forget Matthew 23 and others on the subject of public and/or forced charity and they have no understanding of the words, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." Of course, this is the inevitable result of trying to take Jesus as some radical humanist philosopher and completely ignoring that he was the divine Son of God.
The liberals only pay lip service to religion as a means of fooling voters. The rat party and their constituents are openly contemptuous of G-d, religion and traditonal morality. I doubt that Jesus would join them.
In fact he might have said, It is easier for a camel to pass though the eye of a needle than for a DemonRat to get into the kingdom of heaven.
"They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.
And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me."
- John 16:2,3
And didn't Jesus tell us to teach the Gospel in all nations? Yet, it's not about "dominating the earth."
Of course to you and me "He already is King..." but to the speculators that try to superimpose their concepts (private interpretation)of God. Using their tense seems to be appropriate.
Another example is the rich, young ruler.
Jesus told him to sell his posessions and give them to the poor, but he did not force him to do it.
Liberals have wasted a $trillion to validate that Nazareth fellow's prediction that the poor will always be with us.
