Hate crime suspects arrested in Lake Charles, Louisiana

Two people have been arrested in connection with the beating of a producer and assistant producer of the "Little Bayou" film crew in downtown Lake Charles on July 22.

Janice Denise Davis, 31, and Christopher Desmond Jones, 19, were both arrested in connection with the crime. Police say the attack happened when a group of at least eight black males and females saw the two white males near the intersection of Broad Street and Bilbo. According to police, after the two men refused to give the group their money, one of the victims was beaten with a six foot long wooden stick, and the other was beaten with injuries to his face.

The suspects have been charged with armed robbery and second degree robbery, in addition to being charged with a hate crime. An additional five years is added to any crime if convicted of a hate crime.

Lake Charles investigators say the suspects targeted the victims "because they were white."

Maybe this silly "hate crime" nonsense being used to extend the sentences of blacks will show everyone how silly it is. The men and women involved committed crimes. They committed assault, armed robbery, and likely aggravated assault. Why they chose their victims is irrelevant. They are being charged with "thought-crimes." Not that I feel sorry for them, but the crime would have been just as heinous if the victims had been black, or if the perps had shouted "I love you so much," as they were pummeling the victims.

The attackers were provoked by the white victims because the victims were white, and therefore, racist.

Well, regardless, this is absolutely the first ever case I have ever read about where blacks are charged with a hate crime.
In Seattle, as I recall, even with videotape of blacks deliberately targetting whites and seriously injuring them, there were no hate crime charges.

I doubt it. Sounds like the two white males are faggots. Even if they were beaten because of their whiteness or their fagnicity......it shouldn't be a hate crime.
