...The former intelligence official said the first Able Danger report identified all four men as members of a "Brooklyn" cell, and was produced within two months after Mr. Atta arrived in the United States. The former intelligence official said he was among a group that briefed Mr. Zelikow and at least three other members of the Sept. 11 commission staff about Able Danger when they visited the Afghanistan-Pakistan region in October 2003...

The report produced by the commission last year does not mention the episode.

That's the reason Gorelick was on the commision. To keep her ass and the administration she worked for's ass...squeaky clean and minty freash.

This article is MUST reading. There is a ton of highly classified stuff in this report, which I think cuts closer to reality than most "for public consumption" stuff the sheeple are fed. Particulary note the importance of "data mining" and the classified Army intelligence units mentioned.

Are my wires crossed or did Bush's FBI pick not get on the job till Spet. 10, 2001?

Not that it matters--it's the institutional problems that caused all this, seems to me. That's one thing I wish W was more eager to do, rip the heck out of State, CIA and FBI and start fresh. But it does seem that he IS getting there, finally.

How about the terrorist Al-Midhar and Hanjour
who crashed flight 77 into the Pentagon. They
were in our San Diego phone book.
Clinton just kept kicking the can. No wonder Sandy Berger
was playing hide the docs.

Robert S. Mueller,III was sworn in as FBI Director on September 4, 2001. His confirmation hearings began on July 30, 2001.

Thomas Pickering was acting director until Mueller succeeded Louis Freeh. Freeh was director 1993-2001, and for some unknown (to me) reason, Freeh has never received the criticism he so richly deserves for FBI failures under his watch. If Freeh couldn't protect the FBI's integrity under Clinton, he should have resigned years earlier. Under Freeh, the FBI was (I believe), thoroughly corrupted and deballed!

If you have time to read

http://www.fas.org/irp/congress/2001_cr/s080201.html

you'll find the Senate paid scant attention to terrorism, during Mueller's confirmation hearings. Patrick Leahy more interested in the FBI hiring minorities than in protecting America from terrorists.

Travis, thanks for the ping. Below is a reply that I posted on the other thread re this important data mining by our MI.

"Would someone please help an old Freeper with an old memory?:"

1. Who were the co presidents during 1999 and 2000?

2. Who was the drugged out Lesbian Attorney General during this time who was more interested in evil White Male Christians with legal guns?

3. Who was the Vice President during this time, who invented the internet?

4. Who was Jamie Gorelick, and what was her political party?

5. Who was the guy who later stuffed his trousers with illegal and beyond top secret material? What was his cabinet position in 1999=2000?"

Thanks for posting this. Amazing that this was published by the NY Slimes. Which means they are probably afraid of spiking this story like what they have done with the Err Amerika scam where money was taken from the poor to broadcast the lies of Err Amerika.

Now there you go again. 1999 was sooo long ago. We can argue all day about who was president, who was co-president, and who was attorney general then, but how does that relate to us now?

You are correct. Proving the Clintoonians and their thugs guilty of allowing 9/11 will never feed a starving illegal alien or an abused gay writer for the NY Slimes.

Weldon was on Fox and Friends this morning. He was quite good at explaining this. Here are the points he made.

1. THREE times the Able Danger group tried to give this information to the FBI, and all three times Clinton administration attorneys told them they were prohibited from doing so.

2. This is the type of intelligence (data-mining) that he has advocated for a long time, and the CIA absolutely refused to do it.

3. Former members of the ABle Danger group contacted the staff of the 9/11 with this information.

4. Neither Tim Roemer nor John Lehman had ever heard any of this information.

5. Weldon wants to know if the 9/11 commission staff ran interference on this information, keeping it from some members of the commission.

6. Weldon wants hearings on this.

Lets hope that the rats and their fellow anti America Mediot buddies can't kill this story and neutralize Weldon.

I love the lack of sarcasm in your questions. Is "Gorelick" a nickname cause Jamie was close to the inventor of the internet?

Sometimes the lack of sarcasm is a great weapon tool to use on the Lunatic Lefties.

Re "Is "Gorelick" a nickname cause Jamie was close to the inventor of the internet?"

I don't know the answer. Why don't you email Jamie and ask her. Please post her response if you get one.
