His naval "service" doesn't qualify him for anything larger.

Maybe his other "service" doesn't either.

"Why is the life preserver shaped like a toilet seat?"

That is the toilet seat. This is the ship fitted for the perfect Asshole.

Sweet, not a boat set up for fishing though, and it probably
costs a thousand bucks to fill it up.

Don't think that's Kerrey's boat because it would sink if Ed Kennedy came on board.

Hey...isn't that the SS Minnow.

I doubt it. I'm not sure her Skipper can handle a three-hour tour...a three-hour tour. Neither could the other Minnow's, come to think of it, so I guess it could be.

Kinda small for someone who married umpteen bazillion dollars, isn't it? She must keep him on a tight allowance.

That's all he could get for five one gallon jars of white gin-laden raisins.

"Maybe Kerry will let Teddy drive it someday. We can hope."

Not if he brings someone else on board before casting off. Unless of course, he solos with Blood and Guts JF Kerry himself.

A gas hog
Something else that might confound his political image is the Scaramouche’s fuel efficiency. Speedboats are gas hogs. The Fidelity got 2 mpg and the Scaramouche probably gets less than one (The Scaramouche, according to the Boston Herald, is a Hinckley powerboat. A 44-foot version, according to boats.com, has a fuel capacity of 500 gallons, and a range of 340 nautical miles, or .68 MPG. Hinckley no longer makes the 42-foot boat.)

I must be missing something. It looks to me like a Type 4 Horseshoe PFD. Granted why anyone would use this on a Power Boat is not clear. Since they are used principallly by Rag Boaters.

Wasn't Scaramouche an evil dude in one of the James Bond flicks? I suppose that would be a role model for kerry.

I see energy saving and gas prices don't concern John Kerry at all.

It's still a half-a-million-dollar boat.
During the campaign, there were published reports from some boat broker types, who had seen the build sheet for the boat, and thought that with all the options Kerry added, that the sales price was probably a LOT closer to a million.

FYI: All boats of that size or larger, measure their fuel economy in GPM not MPG.
