Note what Dowd does NOT do in this paragraph--she brings up the old article, and yet says nothing to mitigate its importance, she just throws on the mud.

And no, Mo, having your son get killed does NOT give you moral authority where the war is concerned. I guess next you'll be saying that having your kid murdered gives you the right to sit on the killer's jury, or even just go out ans shoot the bastard, because hey, you have total moral authority in such a situation, right? There's a reason we don't have family members sit on juries, and why we don't have soldiers' parents plan wars. That such a basic idea is beyond you says a lot about your intellectual capacity.

It's hard to think of another president who lived in such meta-insulation. His rigidly controlled environment allows no chance encounters with anyone who disagrees. He never has to defend himself to anyone, and that is cognitively injurious.

Lets see,I believe Clinton had a "war room"working around the clock to protect his political interest.
