Our ability to defend America was dealt a mortal wound when he ordered the creation of the Gorelick wall.
(Just opinion, of course.)
... and it's a least highly possible, even likely, that the 'wall' existed not only in the FBI and Dept. of Justice but at the Pentagon:

One of the truly infantile arguments I have heard put forward in all seriousness is that Atta must have been in the United States during the time of the April "Prague meeting" between the Iraqi state intelligence station chief and the "student from Hamburg", is that his cell phone was used in the US during that time.
Oh. Well I guess that surely means he must have been here, live and in person, because he wouldn't, couldn't, have possibly left his phone with an accomplice. Could he?
When are we going to have a media investigation of the facts? By any media, not just the mainstream media. We have got to prevent the anti-war nuts from re-writing history.
"And, I agree, if it is now known that Atta had entered the Unied States in 2000 on false documents"
Atta flew to Newark from Prague in 2000. He actually made two trips to Prague before flying to the U.S. The first was by plane, in which he stayed at the Prague airport for a few hours before flying back to Germany. After obtaining a German visa, he then took an overnight bus back to Prague, entering the Czech Republic around 6:00 A.M. He stayed in Prague, whereabouts unknown, for most of that day, before flying on to Newark. These trips are documented. The obvious question is, why did Atta go to Prague? Plenty of plane flights from Germany to Newark.
I thought those trips to Prague were in early 2001...
