I don't understand the connection between Able Danger's info on Atta being in US and Atta being in Czech Republic and on the Iraqi payroll.
Can someone explain this to me please.
Perfect! Thank you. :)
Hey Doug...maybe the fire under Bill is getting hotter. Look at this -
Ex-president Bill Clinton now says he would have taken out Osama bin Laden before the 9/11 attacks if only the FBI and CIA had been able to prove the al-Qaida mastermind was behind the attack on the U.S.S. Cole.
"I desperately wish that I had been president when the FBI and CIA finally confirmed, officially, that bin Laden was responsible for the attack on the U.S.S. Cole," Clinton tells New York magazine this week. "Then we could have launched an attack on Afghanistan early." (On Newsmax tonight)
This guy ...there are just no words.
I just read the Newsmax piece--let the self-indulgent idiot keep right on talking--when the REAL facts come out all of this blather can be played back in court (don't I wish!)
And he just can't resist touting himself as tougher on terrorism than President Bush--he is not just a liar; he is a delusional liar!
The Able Danger group say Atta as an immediate danger and wanted the Pentagon to warn the FBI. Because of the wall created by Jamie Gorelick, Pentagon officials would not let the info be passed to the FBI; Atta was apparently in the country legally with a Visa.
One member of Able Danger claims he told the 9/11 commission staff about the info they had on Atta. It was not included in their report. One of the big questions --- did Jamie Gorelick help cover up for Clinton? Another question --- why wasn't she at the witness table answering questions instead of asking them?
Thanks for the ping!
Exactly right, Doug.
It seems to me that not enough is being said about how this devolved into (the real purpose of this Commission?) a Clinton cover-up.
BTTT BTTT BTTT BTTT BTTT BTTT BTTT BTTT BTTT....thanks Doug!
I understand that Able Danger warned of Atta and the "Brooklyn Cell" prior to 9/11, and that the not legally required "wall" was used as a reason to block needed intel from being given to the FBI.
What I did not understand was this issue of the Atta timeline and how Able Danger's intel challenges it. And did any of AD's intel purport that Atta was in Czech and not in US when his cell phone was used?
Or is the issue more general in AD just calling into question the entire Atta timeline?
Those on the left want to dismiss Atta's visit with Iraqi intelligence in Prague. That alone justifies the attack on Hussein.
While I do fear the Clintons' getting away once again, I do believe their luck has to run out sometime.
Sending you a link to something I think would get pulled if posted in a thread. It says it all, though.
the crintons are the julius and ethyl rosenberg of our time X 1,000,000!!!!
Great article; many thanks for posting it!
The truth is out there. Thanks for posting it.
thanks DFU , bookmk ping for a.m. cofffeee
Abso-frigginlutely. The Czechs are among our most solid allies, and as you said, they've got no reason to make that stuff up.
("...there was a relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda." - Thomas Kean, chairman, 9/11 Commission
He said that? What a friggin fraud lying POS....
It was my understanding that Gorelick's wall was an internal Justice Department directive, which precluded the intelligence side of the house communicating with the criminal side. I don't see the applicability for the sharing of info from DOD (overtly collected) on foreign nationals. As much as I dislike Gorelick, I don't believe her "wall" is in play in the case of AD.
There are laws, which prevent the CIA from collecting information on US citizens and sharing it with the FBI. It includes domestically collected information. I assume there are similar restrictions on DIA and other military intel groups. I am puzzled why such restrictions would apply to foreign nationals even if they had green cards or vaild visas.
I am puzzled, too. I want to hear the full story. However innocent some may think it is, there is no reason Gorelick and Sandy Burglar should not be testifying.
I agree that Gorelick and Burglar need to be questioned about their roles in all of this. I suspect that info. Clinton didn't want to admit publicly that AQ cells were operating in the US. He always preferred to handle terrorism as a criminal matter rather than recognize it as a global effort directed against American assets worldwide.
Thank you for this entire thread.....
The former Czech deputy foreign minister, later ambassador to the UN, gave statements that he personally expelled a high raking Iraqi embassy official in Prague for being a covert foreign intelligence agent after the latter was discovered having met with Atta in the international lounge at the Prague airport in August 2001. There the Iraqi transferred a large amount of cash to Atta, sufficient to fund the completion of the September 11 attack.
"Continued investigation by Davis showed that the top Iraqi in question was a former senior Iraqi Republican Guard officer with close Saddam regime ties. Further some of the members of the Iraqi group that fled Oklahoma City when the bombing of the Murrah Building took place moved to the Northeast. One later took a job at Logan International Airport in Boston, the location of two September 11 hijackings. He disappeared after that attack."
... "A core principle of war is that in order to win, you must know yourself and know your enemy. We must insist that the truth be surfaced, discussed, analyzed, and acted upon. Continual suppression of essential facts emboldens our enemies and makes us increasingly vulnerable to subsequent attack.
... "Able Danger reports must be made public to the extent possible, and we must have a reinvestigation of the series of terrorist attacks on America, preferably without the irrational partisanship that has markedly hurt our war effort to date."
So important that this post needs to be reposted every day!
It always makes me suspicious when the FBI does a plane crash investigation instead of the NTSB, and when they rule out terrorism in the first press release.
