The Heart of Texas Chapter is planning a return to Crawford on Saturday, August 27. Our purpose this time will be to team up with the Move America Forward Caravan, which will originate in California, and pick up supporters from across the country. More can be found about Move America Forward here:MAF
We hope that with this much advance notice, more Freepers will be able to join us this time.
I have spent most of the day trying to contact someone at MAF, but they are so busy they haven't gotten back to me yet. However, it shouldn't be hard to notice a caravan of buses and cars in Crawford, so we will be able to jump in with them with no problem.
I spoke with Police Chief Donnie today, and he really seemed happy to hear that we were coming back. We won't need a permit this time, as we will be a tag on to the MAF permit.
Everyone with suggestions for signs, tactics, etc. please chime in. This will be another Support the Troops Rally--but MAF will probably get in a little Sheehan bashing--which is fine with me!
Ping!
Damn, I wish I didn't live in Massachusetts or I'd sooo be there with the whole fam!
What happened to the city residents restricting all the vehicles on the street for miles?
Does everyone have to walk to the site or are the vehicles allowed all over still?
What conservative does wish they were in Massachusetts! :-)
Apparently, a local rancher has allowed Ms Sheehan and her ilk to move to his property, which has cleared the streets.
Bump and check your freepmail
God bless you Basil! As always, you are standing tall. I didn't know this was afoot last weekend or I might have been there. We'll see how this weekend shakes out. I would love to be with you again!
God Bless You HERO!
Antiwar protester Sheehan to move campsite
(closer to Bush ranch on private property offered)

CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - Antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan, whose son was killed in Iraq, is moving her camp closer to President George W. Bush's Texas ranch.
The piece of private property was offered by a relative of a man who had a fired shotgun in frustration over the protests, a source in the Sheehan camp said. The property owner is also a veteran.
"A neighbour of President Bush's has offered us his land," the source said. "It's got plenty of acreage for us, it's private land, we would have legal permission to be on it, it's much closer to the ranch -- in fact it's across the street from his (Bush's) church."
"We have taken him up on his offer," the source added.
Sheehan was not immediately available for comment.
Sheehan was expected to begin moving as early as Wednesday morning...

Bump and bookmark.
I wish you could have some signs showing the smiling Iraqi voters, or smiling Iraqi kids and soldiers like those we see almost every day at DefendAmerica.mil. Posters showing pictures of all the good work our soldiers have been doing in Iraq to help rebuild the country. Some captions: "We will stay the course," or "Casey supported Iraqi Freedom," or "Don't throw the Iraqis to the wolves."
Stuff like that to counter Axis Cindy's crazed rants about Iraq not being a noble cause.
Thanks for the nice sentiments, though--and if would be great if you could join us.
Great ideas--we'll sure incorporate some of them. Thanks!
He, he, smart farmer, he will get his land fertilized by demoCRAPs. Them useful idiots and their crap are good for something!
She already has this..and that's enough.
Move America Forward will be conducting the You Dont Speak for Me, Cindy caravan beginning next week. It will feature military family members who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The delegation will be led by Deborah Johns of Northern California Marine Moms.
She will lead the caravan to Crawford, Texas where she and Move America Forward Chairman, Melanie Morgan, will lead a WE SUPPORT OUR TROOPS & THEIR MISSION rally in Crawford on Saturday, August 27th, 2005.

If you have a loved one serving in Iraq or Afghanistan and would like to join the caravan please contact Move America Forwards Robert Dixon: Robert@MoveAmericaForward.org

basil, if I'm not working I'd like to make this one. I'll have to get back with ya'll as it gets closer.
I just received an e-mail from MAF . . . I will send a donation ASAP . . . I CHALLENGE ALL FREEPERS TO DO THE SAME!!!
We need a GREAT showing in Crawford on the 27th -- the treasonous left plans to bus in 'professional protesters' from all around the country!!
I just wished my family and I lived closer to Texas!
I watched Melanie Morgan on Hairball tonight...and Chrissy just totally dismissed everything she was saying..
and was totally buying into Cindy Sheehan's like of thinking (?)....
I did hear him say "Good luck on your caravan"!
She claims that Casey didn't want to go to Iraq...We need to counter that! He volunteered to go for a second tour, and he volunteered for the mission that he was killed on.
You have a good idea, but don't count on them to make any difference..
Last night, Chrissy Matthews had on an Iraqi woman, who is down in Crawford with the pro-troops protestors...when she couldn't understand his questions, or didn't answer his questions fast enough...(remember she is Iraqi, and spoke English, but not perfectly)...he YELLED AT HER...He was insulting to her when she said that the Iraqi people appreciate America, and want our help...
He jumped down her throat on that comment, asking her HOW LONG she expects Americans to be over there spending OUR money and stuff...she said she didn't know..
and he said "yeah, that is the problem, no one know..and 10 years is way to long"...
I agree with a little bashing. The Little General needs to hear the truth! I'm coming with my "bashing" poster.
I'd love to see some "street theater" from our side. We need to get creative - like we do in Dallas for *You Know What* every year. FREEPMAIL IDEAS.
I'm sure the media and the leftists have become good friends since they're all spending every minute together over there so we need a "hook" to draw the media's undivided attention, IMO.
Keep up the great work.
Isn't it great that the "MSM" is not longer in charge!
Is there any chance one of the other ranchers nearby would allow HOT FReepers and MAF on their land for a rally? Or will you again be at the park where you rallied last Saturday?
Good luck to you all. Thank you for being in Crawford and really SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS!
Chrissy Boy is such a jerk. Too bad the Iraqi lady wasn't quick enough on the draw to ask him when we will stop spending money and bring American troops home from Bosnia, Kosovo, South Korea, Japan, Germany, etc. And since when has Chrissy cared about the American government spending money overseas, like the billions in aid given to Africa and the Palestinian Authority, most of which probably went directly into the bank accounts of assorted kleptocrats?
What would be good is if you could get a bunch of troops from Ft. Hood to go down.
I suggest that Cindy's own wacko quotes be individually put up on huge placards, with the dates and venues she delivered them.
And then another saying "Atta Girl Cindy!" with a photoshop pic of Mohammed Atta giving a thumbs up.
I'm mildly upset that you don't include me in that list.
;)
With our side acting with our usual high standards, and their side acting like idiots (as usual), it won't be long before some anti-war liberal dope does something embarrassing that's caught on tape.
Keep your cameras ready!
I'm delighted to know that only about a dozen people even bothered to watch little Chrissy having yet another hissy-fit! And many thanks to you for watching. That takes guts, LOL!
I read somewhere that her son Casey reenlisted 5 months before he was killed. He wanted to go back to Iraq (probably to get away from his mom...too)
WOW! GREAT idea!! I wonder how we could get a contact number? Anybody? Let me know!
I was out of town last weekend...I'm bringing a car load to Crawford for the next rally on the 27th...
Ping
ANYBODY KNOW ANYONE AT FT. HOOD? FREEPMAIL ME IF YOU DO OR IF YOU COULD CONTACT THEM YOURSELF.
WE NEED UNIFORMS!
BTTT
That's a GREAT pic of you on your home page.
Don't be upset. She was pinging the officers. Now, can we nominate you for an office next year? :D
I am just going to have to change my screen name
This is a group effort!
I was told that service men and women are not allowed to attend these things in uniform, That's what the officer at Ft Hood told me when I called them about last week's event.

Yes, what this guy did was crude. But why get arrested for it? It is public property right? Isn't there an ordinance against erecting signs on public property? Why can't he take these crosses down, if she put them up?
I think Cindy should be forced to get permission for each cross she plants from the family of the fallen soldier she is memorializing. Otherwise we have a right to take them away. These heroes already have memorials and gravesites. This is dishonring them. IMO.
There were a couple that did show though, but not in Uniform, correct. They can't take "sides" or be political. Though we know what "side" 99% of our troops are on.
Why are the John Kerry in trainings allowed to wear unifroms though?
As I understand it, the caravan arrives on Saturday, and they are staying over and doing something on Sunday, too. Some of the freepers have mentioned camping nearby overnight--but nothing definite about that.
Placard:
"All they want to do....is give appeasement a chance."
