Wait. Doesn't the Constitution guarantee your right to take a bomb anywhere you want? Now I'm upset too! LOL

More proof why it is just not safe to vote for a Democrat any more.

To be honest, it's kind of pointless to vote for anyone anymore.

Lobbyists make laws, elected officials don't.

We don't have a Democracy, we have a Bribeocracy. Legislation is sold to the highest bidder.

And the sad thing is, it's probably no better anywhere else. If, for the sake of arguement, we were to take over Canada to start our own country after fleeing the oppressive U.S. regime ... in 30 or 40 years, we would have the exact same form of government. Think about it. We fled England over a 1% (ONE PERCENT) tax on income, and sales taxes applied to other consumables ... and had a subsequent "tea party" when they tried to tax that here. Animal Farm is non-fiction (heck Free Republic was founded as an answer to censorship on Compuserve, and today people wet themselves with glee as they sit back and wait for "Zots"). Everthing always eventually goes back to what it was created to correct.

Now look what we have. 50% of the average American's money going to the Government. It ALL goes back to the government eventually, since the same dollar is taxes each time it changes hands.

You know and I know that this isn't what the founding fathers had in mind.

It's an outright shame. But we did it to ourselves. We believed all along that we had one of two choices, and that anything outside of those two choices was a vote thrown away.

So special interests bought both main parties, and the only people you vote for every 4 years, is the guy who is going to take the bribes. We force the school system to tell our kids that they have to vote Democract or Republican, which ensures that nothing will ever change, and that those who can afford to buy the laws will always get their way.

The principals on which the country was founded wre great. Now we just live in a police state, bu with cool buzzwords like "Liberty" and "Freedom" while more of our citizens sit behind bars than any other country on the planet, including those in the third world. More laws on the books than any other country on the planet. Estimates are that every person breakes at least 5 laws per day.

When you make everything illegal, you can choose who to enforce laws against.

And so it is.

Go ahead, pull the lever for "Republican". Maybe gay people won't be able to get married, so your just going to have to take that victory and be happy with it. The border is still open, and taxes are still too high, but at least Janet Jackson can't show here tit on Television anymore. These are the victories we now rejoice over.

Well I know any time I open any time of bank account, I need to sign a waiver saying that the ept of homeland security will have access to information about the account under the patriot act, etc.

That must be your bank, as I've never had to sign a waiver saying that and I've opened 4 bank accounts since the PA was implemented.

I've had to sign the same notice on the three account I have opened since. One was even a small, local bank.

Just out of curiosity, which 4 banks didn't give you this notice, because I have to run across a single one that doesnt.

Well, I opened an account with one of those, and I got the "Patriot Act" notice. Maybe it's a regional thing *shrug*

Can you list the freedoms lost because of the "progressive income tax"?

"Name one freedom you have lost as a result of the Patriot act? I really can't think of one."

They boil frogs slowly.

Name a 'freedom' I have left.

I'm sure you can. But does it remain because of
some respect for the Constitution or the Bill of
Restrictions on Government ? No.

What Freedom we have left remains because they
have not got around to taking it yet.

I'm staying, it's still my country.
It's just a crying shame what the
collectivist bastards have done to it.

I lived a year in Germany.

Well OK. We need to take our country back for Americans and those who wish to become Americans via legal means. Errosion of our liberty has taken place over the past 80 or so years. IRS and SCOTUS are the biggest culprits not the Patriot Act. So far the Patriot act has been as ineffective and as misdirected as Homeland Security. Does anyone outside Free Republic ever read the Constitution or know what it says?
