WASHINGTON — The State Department warned the Clinton administration in July 1996 that Usama bin Laden's (search) move to Afghanistan would give him more fertile ground to spread radical Islam, according to newly declassified documents.

The documents, released by the legal advocacy group Judicial Watch on Wednesday, say that bin Laden would feel comfortable moving from Sudan to Afghanistan, which "has become an even more desirable location for extremists. Afghanistan may be an ideal haven as long as bin Laden can continue to run his businesses and financial networks."

well you probably already know my take on the Clintoons...
they've got one of those "J Edgar Hoover" insurance policies(copies of the FBI files) which keeps them out of prison...

I don't have a clue. That's why I'm following Dog's posts. But it must be someone who desperately wants to derail hillary's ambitions. The question is, does John Kerry have the man-berries to do it? And could Teddy Kennedy have stayed sober long enough to actually have devised this plan?

Berger is a good loyal Clinton lackey...he would fling himself off a tall building before he would give up Bubba.

"Burger under oath before joint Congressional committee with use immunity might break a logjam."
well ya know Burglar copped to a misdemeanor for "cooperation"...
however we still don't know " the what, for whom and why?"
and sentencing has been postponed.

"Sure, Berger stole proof. But, there has to be other detail and honest people who will help put Hillie and Willie in jail!"

As tempting as this possibility is to make me want to believe in karma, it's never gonna happen.

The Clintons have some method of enforcing loyalty that puts La Cosa Nostra to shame.

It'll be a miracle if history gives anything close to an accurate account of the role the Clintons are playing in the destruction of this nation while getting a total pass from the many who believe they walk on water, let alone that justice will be served in their lifetimes.

If I'm not mistaken,Sandy Pants is still awaiting final sentencing.

This could be part of a squeeze play to get him talking.Just a thought,I havn't followed all of the intricate details.

And he'll have full security clearance just in time to help put the DemoDons back in the White House in 2008.

I heard Berger copped a plea agreement with the prosecutor, but the judge has not yet set his punishment. As I understand this is to be done in September. Is that correct or incorrect? Anyway, if that is correct, Sandy might not want to do hard time if the ABLE Danger and State department documents hold up his sentencing. I cannot understand the loyalty anyone gives to the Clintons. Honor among theives has never lasted. Now Bill has no sword of Damocles to hold over their heads, unless it is the hope of Hillary.

I hate to even suggest this, but Karl Rove et. al? The President has been very quiet about this subject. I haven't even heard a bland quote from him about this. /tinfoil

I had the thought also. We all heard the reports of the scheduled sentencing. It seemed he had a pretty straight-forward deal struck. The delay suggested to me there was something wrong with the plea bargain, either in his willingness to cooperate or with the discovery that he had misrepresented something. Or, maybe the judge needed some time off for the summer.

He was among those expecting to be considered for SecState in a Kerry Administration. He isn't going to get in anybody's cabinet now. But he could get a position not subject to Senate confirmation in a Hillary administration, maybe even a pardon - - do you pardon a misdemeanor?

Correctomundo! The deal was a guilty plea to a misdemeanor, 10K dollar fine and loss of his security clearance for 3 years(just in time for the 2008)

I tell ya, these Clintoonistas are covered under the "J Edgar Hoover" insurance policy held by Bubba & wife!
The copies of those FBI files have sure come in handy...

Or maybe the judge is locked in a closet in a certain house in Chappaqua!;)

Do we have any hope that the judge ruling in the case might say, "Now, hold on there....not so fast"?
